bish0p2004
Nope. It has looked quite boring after the first gameplay trailer for GTA V came out. I wish I could get my hype back up for it though. I'll wait till the reviews come out before I even consider purchasing this. DownwardGoose
Definitely looking forward to it. GTA needs a real open world competitor and no disrespect to Saints Row but they really aren't a rival. Watch Dogs looks absolutely awesome, but it'll probably be better to wait for it on next-gen or get it on PC to really get the best out of it. If Saints Row have kept a more serious tone, I think that they could have easily been a competitor to R*. At this point, they seem to be more ambitious with their actual gameplay and making a real sandbox game, like robbing people, human shields, lots of customization, focus on criminal activities, etc. Personally, I don't care if one company clones another company's game, I just want to play a good f*cking open world game with tons of options and activities. Yeah the direction Saints Row went really put me off of the game. I liked 2, but 3 was pitiful. IV is just 3's DLC. jv95_
Official General
Sorry but I'm not really sold on Watchdogs in major way. It's open world looks amazing graphically, but this theme that involves hacking into people minds and computer records don't really excite me that much. I'll wait and see what the reviews say about it, until then I cannot say I'm very excited for it. @ bishop You are right, Saints Row could have easily been a good competitor for GTA had it taken a more serious approach, but it totally blew it with all that unrealistic, cartoony and overly comical sh*t. The first SR was actually not that bad, it could have been greatly improved upon, but as we can see, it's not something to be taken seriously. zzmorg82
I'm actually looking forward to Watch_Dogs, but because you asked this on a GTA Forum, you'll probably get biased answers, lol. I really hope stealth plays a big part in the game. Unlike GTA V. >_> Edited October 10, 2013 by zzmorg82
HoleInTheSky
I'm hesitant about new games, more so since it's the first in a new franchise. I'll be watching walkthrough videos closely once it's out before deciding whether to buy it or not. Preview videos are all well and good, but solid walkthrough material is whole lot more insightful. Exactly. I personally loved SR3 but SR4 just felt like they took it too far, don't get me wrong I had a lot of fun, but I didn't feel like playing through it again after I beat it. DeafMetal
Hell yes. Been wanting an open-world crime game in Chicago since forever. But I won't get it until I pick up a ps4, which will be most likely next year. @zzmorg82: Stealth IS a big part of the game. Getting away from cops by hiding out, sneaking up on people in deathmatches, etc. Edited October 10, 2013 by DeafMetal

Then again; this IS Ubisoft we're talking about, the masters of stealth due to the Assassin 's Creed series. So my hopes are very high!

I think with Saints Row The Third, they started going over the top... Saints Row 2 was their last serious game. For me, I can't wait for Watch Dogs. It's different from GTA, and that's what I like about it. I've already pre ordered the PC version, and I'm anticipating its release every day Edited October 10, 2013 by brootalperry

BlackNoise
I was just curious at first, but now I'm looking forward to it. I like GTA V, but I'm only doing the most basic type of gameplay I'm use to doing in every GTA. I was hoping the free-roam gameplay would have more depth, and the story missions were business as usual IMO. R* calls them heist missions, but they're no different than any other GTA mission. Really, we need masks? For what, R*? Oh, you want it to appear as one thing, but in reality you simply want us to get into a GTA shootout. Fun game, but it lacks creativity when it comes to actual missions and how you interact with them. Maybe Watch Dogs will offer something new. Lil ski
Wow....I'm seeing a couple of people on here who were dissing the f*ck outta V earlier and now get asked this question and they say "nah, I'm good with V".... hmmm aight... Anyways, yeah I'm looking forward to checking it out. Not hyped or anything about it but just very curious. Don't think its a GTA killer or anything but It still looks pretty damn awesome! I'm getting it for PC.

CarimboHanky
i was looking forward, til i saw the trailer in which the guy turn off the entire electric grid from his cellphone... i was like WTF, you know how much computing power that cellphone gotta have to be able to do such thing... that and the fact that the game seem to be made to make "breaching privacy" as a cool thing, in a post-Snowden world that thing is not cool. even know the graphics look really nice.
