I really don't understand why they put this in the game in the first place, are people really so bothered about personal vehicles being blown up? The insurance doesn't exactly cost much, mine has been destroyed loads of times and i dont give a damn because its a phone call away. Bad sport actually leads to greifing more because instead of just blowing cars up people are going around shooting out all the tyres and pfft driving with all 4 tyres popped is way more annoying then calling insurance guy pfft.

This is madness. Just get rid of hospital bills already. You die, you drop some cash for your killer to hold while you try to get it back. Players are taking it way to personal when theyre killed due to thehurt put on their wallets.

i've blown up a lot of other players' cars and i havent been a bad sport, yet i got threatened for it and i still got the $1000 good sport prize. I know im annoying and ruining other players' experience, but it is fun to do and this is GTA a game that got popular on the sole premise that we can go around blowing sh*t up in suburbia.

 

One time i was chasing a guy and when he finally crashed his sanchez and died, ipoured gasoline all over it and when he came back to it in passive mode...he found it to be the relic for satanic callings....

another time some guy killed me when i had a bounty on my head so i killed him with an smg, ran up to his tracked minicooper, put a sticky on it, got in my jackal, drove off and as i watched him get in from a distance...BAM.

 

it's just really fun to f*ck sh*t up with ur mates too, me and my mate were flying a chopper and he was on the side dropping stickies on to people below as i hovered above them.

I don't mind the bad sport for destroying personal vehicles, but there should be some indication when a player is in their personal vehicle. I try not to destroy them, only done it once, but it basically means I can't use stickies, because most of the time you can't tell if the vehicle is personal.

The bad sport system could do with some tweaks, but it's difficult for code to distinguish between friends screwing around and some irritating douche sticky bombing you at random because he thinks he's still playing GTA IV free roam and I certainly think the latter deserves punishment.

or they could just add an insurance multiplier with a timer after every recurrent griefing for the Guilty party, so that your vehicles always gets repaired free of charge and their money flows into your pocket so they learn their lesson and you walk away the innocent rich party. Just have bad sports rating occur on the third or fourth multiplier so that they disappear bankrupt into dunce cap land with all of the prior warning they could have needed.

I'm soo sick of brats in this game. at first it worked fine, because everyone wanted to explore how things worked and stuff, but now it is just sh*t. I can't drive from one place to another without getting to guys on my back shooting and throwing stickys at me. It doesn't work to shoot back, because of course they come back for me, and if I kill them more than once, they report me.. It does not work to tell them to stop or get the fo', because then they hear that I'm a girl, which only makes things worse. I can't run away because they follow. And if I put on passive mode, I REALLY got them going, because now they'll do anything to kill me. Can't people mind their own business? I know that this is GTA, and this is to expect, and sometimes it's fun to be a part of, but it should be possible to avoid. It's awesome to be able to report people like this, but it's bad that the ones that try to fight back get slapped in the face for it.. Hope R* fix this.

Its stupid you can kill people out side of their car but if you shoot at them when in their car and blow it up bad sport...... its like you have to ask them 'hey do you mind stop shooting at me for a second and get out of ur car so i can shoot back and not risk blowing ur car up and getting bad sport'. also abit stupid you can't even play with friends in invite only season etc when just you have bad sport, you only get to play with loud mouth chavs. make it a few hours not days

The problem is that the bad sports knows who report them, get angry, then report the person who reported them(who is actually a good sport an gets punished for it).

They should do away with the bad sport for blowing up personal vehicles, and hit them with a much higher price to pay for replacing it, add a marker on the mini-map to show they are driving their personal vehicle and jobs a good un'. 30K+ a ride should be sufficient. They the assholes who grief people would find themselves going bankrupt.

Wouldn't mind but you can't even tell what's a personal vehicle and what's not unless it's got some mad customisation / colour scheme.

 

The whole system is flawed though. I was getting chased by 4 players from a crew in 2 cars who were after the bounty on my head. Now obviously they had the advantage because the passenger can shoot without worrying about controlling the car and there's the fact that they're also behind me. Only way I can shoot them properly is to stop or aim backwards so I can't see where I'm going.

Obvious solution for me is to throw sticky bombs on the road as I'm driving and blow them up as they drive over....but noooooo this makes me a bad sport for simply trying to make the odds even.

How about learning how to shoot instead of sticky bombing everything? That's all I see in free roam, noobs throwing sticky bombs until they're out, then go back to ammunation to buy 25 more. I very rarely use sticky bombs, still pwn everyon :--) in free aim of course, no auto aim bullsh*t noobstyle

Even if they do....so what. It's an expensive habit anyway. You'd think R* would want use to spend all our GTA dollars. They may as well just remove RPGs, Grenade Launchers and Sticky Bombs from Freemode as they have no real use except against vehicles.

 

I only use sticky bombs if I'm being chased in my car....which as I already stated, is to even the odds rather be malicious.

 

And even if it was to be malicious...it's GTA ffs !!

 

Obviously the don't want Freemode to become an RPG-fest, which is understandable, but they could make you think twice about using one by giving you 3 stars instantly rather than punishing you in a bad sport server.

 

There's also no difference between purposely blowing a car up and accidentally driving your mates car off a cliff and blowing it up by mistake. I mean come on...if I'm driving someone's car, they've obviously let me (95% of the time)...and sh*t happens !

So, if you shoot and kill you wont be a bad sport, if you blow everything using sticky bombs everytime somebody is out to kill you, you'll be a bad sport. Just learn how to shoot noobs. Lets face it, sticky bombs are for pussies,
