Buying a new garage, what happens to cars in old garage?

I currently have a two car garage with two cars. I plan to buy a 6 car garage. Do the cars in my old garage get transfered to my new one, or what happens to the cars in the old garage??

pretty sure you just have two garages and they stay where they are, but ive not yet done it. I wouldnt expect anything but that to happen, if you can only own one garage at a time this game f*cking sucks

they transfer across providing you have the space, if you was to downgrade from a full 10 car to a 6 car then you would loose cars
