Customised cars in online races

Just need someone to confirm that whatever upgrade in performance you do to your car, it does not carry over into online races. I have an entity xf with max acceleration in free room but stock acceleration when I use it online. Thanks guys

Don't chose their car online. It should give you the option to use your customized car if it's enabled.

Yeh I do use my customised car but the stats that it shows onscreen when I'm selecting it have it reset to stock settings. Visual changes are there tho

when you choose it does it say "entity xf" or "custom entity xf" since for me when I was in a sport race I could use my sultan and when choosing a car it said "Custom Sultan".

 

if it is true that the stat reverts back to the stock stat is maybe in order to make the race a bit fair, since for instance if there is a guy who is really rich or high rank they could really soup up their ride in order to be better and faster.

You have to choose the class your car is in and it should say customized in front of it

Also, it depends whether the host of the race has chosen to allow "Custom Cars" or not.

Maybe it only takes aesthetic mods (paint jobs, spoilers, etc) into racing and not performance mods.

Correct! my Skyline GTR (forget online game name, but the free one from social club) in free roam accel and top speed are maxed and in a race are hacked down to comparable stats to all other cars in class. Only the aesthetic mods really.

I think that is what it is, plus I do not think that there is a level requirement for races. In in order to put performance mods into your car you either need to be high rank (at least I think some of the mods require high rank) and a ton of cash to spend on those upgrades.

 

I think rockstar did this to the races so that each in every race is a evenly matched game regardless what rank you are and how much money you have in the bank.

I am backing you on this one.

I got the Futo (a sports car)
You cant normally choose the Futo from the list of sports cars when doing an race online. Only your costum Futo.

I Worked rly hard to buy the Turbo for the Futo and my Acceleration is Maxed out! (Viewing the stats of my car in the Garage)

When starting the race I also see the stats of my car, but there way lower (stock stats)

So i can confirm on this one that the performance upgrades dont work in an online race!

if you think about it it's really dumb. there's no point in racing a custom corvette against a stock feltzer. you can't mod top speed anyways. this is just like that "catchup" bullsh*t. I hate whiny ass gamers i really do.

thats strange my acceleration is full in free roam but stock in races even tho yours has increased by one bar. Do you think even tho it shows the acc as full that it still can be increased? I mean the only thing I bought for the entity was the turbo tuning for 50000 and that filled the acc stat but I have not bought any transmission or engine upgrades. Maybe that's where you got the increased stat from?
