I think I know how Gta online should be handled.

 

Replaying of missions should be removed so people don't mindlessly grind their way to high ranks and bank accounts in such a short amount of time.

 

At the same time the hospital bills and job fees should be adjusted so the money you do make is not lost to griefers or just messing around with your friends.

 

I would not mind a steady accumulation of funds over the months playing this game if it weren't for the extreme losses in cash due to dying. Never seem to make any forward progress in this game unless all I do is replay missions or bounce from job to job while avoiding freeroam entirely.

 

I just want to be able to jump out of moving cars and off motorcycles/helicopters in attempts at landing in swimming pools without worrying about losing hours worth of job money. Or get thoroughly engaged in battles with randoms without my money evaporating, thus forcing me to grind missions to get it back.

 

The two are definitely intertwined.

I agree totally. I find that whenever I try to freeroam and kill other people or have fun police chases, I suddenly notice I've lose $15k already at which point I have to go back to grinding missions just to make it back..And it doesn't even stop there, if you only get 5k for a mission but die twice, you're barely breaking even when you bring in body armour and ammo expense too.

The only time i ever play free roam is when i have no money left after a big purchase.

 

It just feels like too much of a risk to play with other people when i have money in my bank account, it ruins the whole point of free roam for me.

They should make a larger distinction between cash and bank money.

 

You should be able to stash cash at your apt/garage where it is untouchable by the fines and fees but at the same time unusable by you.

 

cash should not be magically deposited into your phone but instead deposited either at atms or bank locations.

 

cars/guns/mods/properties purchased with cash should be given a substantial discount, at the obvious risk of carrying that much cash on you to the location. of course this would mean car dealerships would have to be more then empty aesthetic buildings serving no purpose.

 

If they did this i would be fine with hospital bills.

So what you're proposing is that we play the missions once, then the game is over?

How about a diminishing returns on the mission, if you're so into what other people are doing with their characters?

Killed by Police --> Percentage of money on-hand/in bank up to $2K

Killed by Other Player --> if on-hand < $5,000 drop $100.....if on-hand > $5,000 drop percentage

Killed by self stupidity --> no fee

Killed by crew --> no fee

What i meant was replaying of missions numerous times in a row. Jobs offered by npcs should be completed once, then if they happen to pop up on your phone again later you can play them again. just not spam them endlessly in a row

Can't disagree with this OP unless your a troll.

 

I love screwing around with my friends and performing insane stunts that are obviously going to result in death. Why should I be penalised for having fun in a game? o.O

No trolling here. One of my favorite pastimes in GTA IV was jumping out of helicopters and attempting to land in swimming pools.

The goal of GTAO is take make more money no top of the billions they have already made. That's why you lose so much when you die, that's why guns and ammo cost so much, etc.

well according to the tooltip in the game, that is exactly the purpose of the suicide option.
