What is the fun in playing same mission over an over again?

I played WOW for almost 4 years so I know the meaning of farming, it was actulay the reason i quit playing WOW. But in gtao i dont feel that i need to farm. I am just having so much fun trying different things.


Besides if I am going to need some extra cash i will just do some races fun and cash at the same time. wy ush true a game? When you can enjoy it slowly so it last longer peace

VD is an incredibly broken mission, but it's almost necessary.

 

Far as I'm concerned, Rockstar Lied about how easy it is to make money Online, they want people to buy shark cards *I was going to anyway, but the service has never been enabled yet*, so I don't blame people for wanting to farm cash.

 

I personally do it once in a while for RP, Not cash.

I've found a way to farm RP very quickly without the use of a mission anyway

uhm well.. the online mode is 9 days old, i am now almost level 50. not once have i farmed or abused any imbalanced mission

 

all did was racing with non-private cars and deathmatching... both team and normal mode.

You really didn't find a way to farm RP, Wait til you hit 90&I bet you will abandon that method.

This topic has been done about fifty times in the last 24 hours.

I do appreciate the fact you're actually being nice and generating discussion however.

 

Different people like different aspects in games. For some getting the high rank or unlocking a certain weapon or getting lots of money is what they want - so they focus on achieving that - watching those numbers go up feels damn good.

 

For others it's about the experience of various missions - so they play like that. For me it's a mix of the two - I spend 80% of my time doing 'whatever comes up' and 20% of the time working on a mission repeat - this is more fun than it sounds when you're working with a good team of people especially when you refine your techniques.

 

Moral of the story is: Not everybody is the same, expecting them to be is just rediculous, let people play how they want to play.

 

Complaints should be reserved for when there is a serious problem that keeps happening. Another person having a higher rank or more money is not really a serious problem.

_{I think the fun comes in the fact that after I cleared level 60 I was typically 20 to 30 levels higher than the average of the room. This will likely be fixed, but I noticed that people didn't sneak up on me as often. Thanks to patches, my position is nice and secure. I only have to worry about a few other grinders now, most of which have been nothing impressive (likely due to lack of DeathMatches) but I have run into a few who dominated me, NeedMoreLOS for example. lv 120 10hrs ago, likely on his way to 160 and beyond before the patch.}

 

_{I will say this, it was fun as hell joining up with several strangers in an attempt to collect the bounty on his head, and his partner(s) didn't puss out and collect it but let us all try and get to him. while defending him, like a crew member should. I think, one of the other randoms was shooting everyone in the back for a while, but I'm certain it was a legit play and hunt.}

It all depend on the players. Some people just like being power gamers and get as high as possible in term of level or cash regardless of the method and then there's people like you, TC, who just like taking it slow.

I wanted to level up to get money as you lose money when you die in this game plus everything is expensive.

 

I then got reset.

 

I did it again for a little bit for the same reasons.

I"m high lvl with stupid cash so now nobody will catch up to me thanks to the patch, Ima be like 70 levels above everyone who didn't do rooftop for like....ever. I doubt we will ever see a legit level 90+

Because it is a f*cking hassle once you have done the 5 min max mission, You have to go back to free roam, Select another mission, Host game then invite your crew again... Not only that but you have the painful loading which frankly is a risk (considering that most of the char losses come after freezes). That's my main reason for "farming".
