How the f*ck do you get in Fort Zancudo?

Yea I've tried doing that, from the north I think, and I always lose my balancing and swerve to the right or left.

Its so easy. I steal a jet 80% of the time. If you head south on the west side of the map in a fast car towards Fort Zancudo, you will see a dirt ramp just to the right. You hit that at a decent speed (start the run from a weird pointy mountain up the road) and you will land in Fort Zancudo. Go to one of the hangers that's open, steal the jet, do epic evasive maneuvers to avoid missiles, then fly off into the sky with a feeling of satisfaction. ...or get blown up as soon as you enter and rage for a bit.

Tried it. Well, helicopter. Both parachuting in and just landing there and getting in the jet.

It is really easy to get a jet, you just have to have the right plan of attack.

 

1) Find dirt jump to the North of the base, approximately in the middle east-to-west. Its directly north of the basketball courts and bleachers inside of the base.

2) Start accelerating closer the the ramp if you're swerving off and missing the jump. Like Fail_At_GTA said, there is a small bump with a bush that's maybe 10 car lengths away from the jump.

3) I find it best to angle the jump so you fly to the left of the basketball courts and bleachers. You are likely to die if you jump right into the bleachers.

4) Go straight and slightly left and break through the fence with the red shipping containers behind it, to get to the air strip.

5) Bang a right, pass the jet outside, and find the open hanger on the right. You DONT want the jet outside, its too easy for tanks to blow up.

6) Get in, cross your fingers, and burn the f out of there.

 

One thing I find that really helps, is to kite the military personnel to the opposite side of the base from the jet you are stealing. While kiting, DO NOT just drive in a straight line, or you will be shot by a tank. After I break through the fence onto the air strip, I will typically bang a left to the east side of the base, and let everyone follow me. I'll then shoot back to the open hanger.

 

Once you're in the air, fly straight up and hold R3 to make sure there are no surface-to-air missiles coming at you. Lose your wanted level. Shoot everyone.

I screwed this up a ton of times as well and even though I kind of liked the challenge I got REALLY pissed. I kept using Trevor's TPEnterprises chopper to dive in as close as possible and get out as quick as possible. After the 10th or so try I thought, "Why don't I just get a parachute and dive right down into the hanger?" Got real high up, jumped out, and didn't release the chute until I was just above one of the lamp posts. The tank didn't stand a chance. Held up inside the hanger for a few picking the guys off as the all drove up in jeeps, blocking the entrance, then I got into the jet, flew out, and twirled around til I got out of range.

 

Lamest part about all this hard work? When you save it at Trevor's hanger, the next time you come back there's two there! Was that the military's way of saying, "Well played sir, have an extra." ? Lol

I'll try. I'm pretty sure I was there, where there was a mountain going down. But the ramp up looks too tiny to get over the fence.
