What is it with these hosts starting games in 8-16 man lobbies with only 2 players? It makes my blood boil and then you cant leave without being a bad sport, great rockstar.

They are most likely just eager to get money and RP, since whether you won or were second, it doesn't decrease despite there are only 2 players.

Because they probably waited 30 minutes just to get a couple people in. "Matchmaking" is either broken or designed poorly.

Because if you wait for too long while the matchmaking is doing it's stuff (or not as the case may be) you end up with an empty lobby as everyone buggers off you find a more populated game.

Matchmaking is non-existant. get thatmatch started at the first possible chance.

Yup, after waiting 20 minutes the host is happy finally someone joins the game and he will start. Thats why I often start races with two or three Players,

 

You see, they are not idiots, the Beta code of the matchmaking has to improof.

Because if they already have enough players why would they still be in the invite lobby?
