Missions too difficult

Someone woke this thread up from the dead. On topic the hardest mission in my opinion is " Death From Above " rest are easy.

If you keep to cover and not treat the mission like it's CoD then you should be alright.

Count me in the camp that says they're not too hard, they're just meant to be played with multiple players.

I always get a kick out of seeing inexperienced players "running into the fire" when they play a mission they've never played before. For example, Landing Gear. EVERY TIME I play this game with lower level players, they run right toward the hangers and get killed within 30 seconds. The more experienced players hang back, kill everyone, then move in.

The only bad thing is when you get into a car with one of them and drive to a mission and they drive right dead center into the enemy gathering. It's like being in a hornets nest haha

I really want some more hard/challenging missions, hopefully when heists come out there is a difficulty option that affects your game play more- maybe more SWATS or something...or even better, different SWAT types like in PAYDAY 2. :)

But yea, most of the missions right now are fairly easy to compete even with a half decent partner.

I wish there were an "Extra Hard" level for for missions. The spawn points for NPCs would be highly randomized, they could carry and use weapons like the RPG/Minigun/Grenade Launcher. Create an environment where it would be impossible to predict where they would be hiding or coming from.

I do mission tutorials! If you need help with any mission, PM me and I will offer my suggestions/advice. Thanks!

only thing I've found "hard" on missions is hacking keypads when you're playing the mission on the hard setting.

*From the same kind of mentality that got rid of placing and instead, everyone gets a participation trophy*

You know, because those big first place trophies could make the other kids feel bad

The only mission I find kinda hard is method into madness. I hate anything timed.

But the rest of the missions are pretty easy with a little strategy, even if all the players get killed strategy has rarely failed me ♉

Yeah, there's a couple difficult missions, particularly if you haven't played them and don't know what you're doing, but most aren't hard after doing them a couple times, especially if you are with a team(even if it is randoms). Learn to use cover. Most people play with assisted aim anyway. The game is crazy easy with that option. You can hold the triggers and close your eyes lol

I mean this in the least offensive way possible, really. The missions aren't that hard, most people are just stupid and don't use cover because for some reason they think they're some type of super hero that should be able to absorb a full clip of assault rifle rounds

Some of the missions can be more difficult than others, but there's an easy way to do them all solo. Most of the time, you just need to take a step back and come up with a strategy before you run in guns a blazin'.

I can rinse most missions on my own solo and as a team in QOTD there is no messing! missions are not hard if you know what your doing ;)

i mostly play with randoms, i think it add a wildcard factor i can't get with a crew, but all the missions are easy. best tip i can give you is stay alive, use cover, don't rush and be aware of where the enemies are coming from, because to be honest. you're teammates are probably going to die.

oh, and get a buzzard, then when they all die they can watch you make it look easy.

Death From Above is quite hard when you're just unlocked it.

Once you get better firepower and experience though, I like to play it just to keep those NPC's in line....

Check out my video tutorial anyone who thinks it is hard. It's actually quite simple! GLHF!

My Death from Above tip: Play it with as many players as possible (3, at least), and intentionally keep one person from the action. When you take the photo of the dude, then all you have to do to end the mission is have that person who has been kept away from the action to go to Martin's. You can even have that person drive to Martin's as y'all are playing the mission.

Saves you from having to lose the cops so you can get to Martin's, 'cause your third person won't have a wanted level, because he's far away from the action.

Which brings me to my next point - find people to do missions with. I've got a really great crew for that sort of thing - we know exactly what each of us are gonna do before a mission even starts. One person's gonna go here, one person's gonna go get a Buzzard, one's gonna go do this, etc. We have specialists - this guy flies planes, this guy's the Buzzard driver, this guy hangs back and snipes, etc.

It's breathtaking when people are really good at missions - I ambled across three randoms who absolutely beat the living hell out of "Stocks and Scares" while I shot a couple of guys and tried to stay out of the way. They were a precision unit who invited me along just to blow my mind, for I was completely unnecesssary.

Then it's fun when you're kicking tail, like the time I did "Trash Talk" with a full house and me and a random dude did all the work while everyone else sat around getting in the way.

I think my least-favorite mission, in terms of toughness, is "Death from Above." I dunno that any of them are necessarily all that super-tough, but i hate it when a mission is a real challenge and doesn't pay crap. "Death from Above" is the poster boy for that.

Holy s*it, this thread is as old as f*ck. All the way from the GTA Online release.

OT: what makes them hard at times is the A.I. with the crazy accuracy, and the ones that constantly re-spawn after death.

We still need the tweaking of payouts for the hard missions, such as Base Invaders. Break into a military base, kill potentially lots of soldiers and steal a multimillion dollar helicopter while being shot at by said military. By the way, you have to bring the plane I gave you back in one piece. Oh, here's $18750 for your troubles.

It's one of the hardest missions in the game. Also, the Los Santos Connection, while may not be horribly difficult, takes quite a long time, the time to money ratio isn't worth it. Doesn't help when your so called teammates waste the lives for doing stupid stuff.

Sorry for the off-topic rambling.

I think everyone should have one life each and the lives should not be shared.

Most missions have some method that makes them fairly easy to beat. Really the ONLY missions I refuse to play are the Lester Cops one (too low a payout for such an annoying mission) and the Docks to Stocks one where you steal the Cargobob from Ft. Zancudo. Every time I play that the method seems to be "guy who steals Cargobob lands it then dies". Nope, not playing a mission that requires somebody to die for it to succeed.

***

Base Invaders can be done by ONE person. In a car.

Use the Jester or something with a bulletproof back window.

Do jump into base, use stick bombs or grenades, destroy Jets then pull up RIGHT NEXT TO the Cargobob. Hop out and hop in, simple as that. Really one of the easiest missions if done this way.

OR

Slow method. You can land on the South side of the base atop the water tower and pretty much snipe everybody and everything on the level.

***

Death from Above can be done with one person as well. Land on roof, kill two guys, lob grenades, kill bad guy, leave.

***

Extradition, there are TWO Lazer jets parked back in Sandy Shores that will take off the second you reach Ft. Zancudo. I backtrack, grab a Jet. If you can't land it on the highway to grab the briefcase just parachute down.

I like to play (co-op) with other players a lot, but it seems hard to find players that really like to play anything else then RR, let alone co-operate.

Some of them are just pathetic, seem to lose it,,when they think i am getting more kills then they do (especially in survival).

They either go in full attack for a certain death or force me to move position by standing right in front of me :)

Some are cool though, unfortunately i never seem able to get in the same freemode session as they are after the job.

What specific missions are we talking about?

I tried doing an absolute c*nt of a mission (the one from Lester where you blow up cop cars, riot vans, bikes etc) last night with a low level dude and couldn't get it done. Pretty much everything before that though had been fairly simple.

Oh wow I know right?! As far as I can see the 2 times I tried that was there appears to be no way of getting to the riot van.

There's one called base invaders which I thought was ridiculously hard. Even on easy with assisted aim I found it difficulty as the AI are constantly respawning with MG's.

Buzzard.

I know it's only a video game, but if you're doing a mission with other players, it's all about working together. It doesn't really matter who does what or who gets the most kills or who gets there first. So many heists will fail because everyone seems to feel the need to go at 300mph. Any form of strategy, tactics or basic forward planning seems to be frowned upon. Bull in a china shop is unfortunately the prefered method for everything.

Cops Capacity only makes sense if you use a Buzzard.

There's a pretty good trick to any mission where you have to steal the Cargobob from Fort Zancudo, which I'm amazed that so few people seem to know about. Once you get the cargobob, commit suicide. You'll loose your wanted level and can proceed to the compund either with the cargobob (if you landed then blew yourself up) or without (if you crash landed), clear out the compund and then get your cargobob and deliver the container to Lesters warehouse. If you need another Cargobob, you can get one from Fort Zancudo without getting a wanted level. Certainly works on the one where the compund is at the airport. It's a bit of fannying around, but it's a good payout and (for me at least) quite satisfying to complete solo.

I'm always amazed at how few people know this. I'll either use one of those jets, after destroying the other, or use my Buzzard. If you stay high enough above the base you'll take no damage. Then quick call to Lester to loose the wanted level to make locking onto the limo easy, grab briefcase. I'll only do this mission solo as with other players it seems to take an age to complete.

Pick up your Buzzard and blow up the Lazzers so they dont follow you, then take out the Titan and DA, Buzzard is easier to land on road grab briefcase and fly to Martins. No parachuting.

There are no (0) missions that a Lazzer or a Tank make easier or faster.

This, but use Ron's plane & land by Amunation store outside fort..

call mechanic for fast car...

proceed as above except when you land you wont have to get in and out of the plane..
