I just dont get the damn super cops

I am earning my way up in ranks online, but not money, One of these reasons is because I keep Losing thousands of dollars everytime i get into a gunfight with cops.

 

My best tactic is to lay low in alleyways after holding up 247 stores or stealing a car, But everytime i find a good alleyway and hide, The Cops always always always find their way into the alley and Start killing me. The only times i evade the cops is when There is 2 or less stars and I have to go on the highway and Drive my car up a damn mountain

 

Also, The One thing i hate the most, Is the waiting time when the stars are flashing. It goes on forever, Its the reason the cops find me. Just when you think you evaded them, The stars stop flashing and The red and blue flashing comes back.

 

If cops havent been in my way, I would have 10s of thousands more than i have now. My word, Its just insane. I wish there was an option to tell the cops to go f*ck themselves

Haven't found the cops to be OP at all tbh, been able to get away from 3-4 stars fairly comfortably.

 

What you should probably do is stick to missions etc as you don't lose cash for dying.

It seems like the more hidden you are the faster the stars go away. You can't just do basic alleys. Look for places only you can get into. Also look for places where police choppers can't see you. And don't be scared to get out of you vehicle to hide in better places where cars can't fit.

 

My favorite way to get away from the cops is to drive as fast as I can to get some good distance and then climb onto the roof of a building and hide up there. This doesn't work every time, because unless there is something to cover you from above, you will probably get spotted eventually if your wanted level is too high.

 

Under the overpasses can work well too, especially where the homeless are located.

There lies your problem...don't get into a gunfight, always run in a car, do not shoot them if you want to ever get away, also do not rely on hiding in an alley cops are smarter on gta online if your in an alley and you see a cop getting close on the mini map get the f*ck out of the alley in the opposite direction...you can see cops on the mini map. Turn your car a lot...do not just drive in a straight line. Learn how to use a mask to lose a star....you can call lester to remove stars when out of sight of the police. Find a helicopter to flee in. Find a tunnel...every now and then a cop will wonder off down a tunnel though. I have had it happen and he didn't even see me go down there. These are all tactics I use and I find getting away pretty damn easy 1/2/3 stars is really easy, 4 stars a little trickier but not that hard might take a few minutes 5 stars you might be running for a while but it can be done. One more thing try to not smash your car into a big hunk of scrap metal as this will make it handle like sh*t and will make it harder to get away.

I dont start a gunfight then run. The gunfight is forced when i run out of places to hide. When the cops close in on me i have to cap them or else i die and lose my money, its why i have to go to hills

Don't engage them at all. Use your map and just head in the opposite direction until you can find a secluded location to hide.

I suspect that the closer you hide to the last place they saw you, the more likely they are to get in there and find you.

 

I personally run from the police instead of hide, 90% of the time. I've never had trouble losing them in a couple minutes tops this way--just pick a new route whenever a blip appears in front of you on the radar, and even helicopters will eventually lose you unless you're just a putz.

 

The police in Online seem to be kind of a severely dumbed down version of story's police; and if you go downtown, the majority of them are too confused as to which player they should be chasing, making them kind of a joke.

I didn't say you started the gunfight I said don't get into them all together..meaning don't hide somewhere with no escape routes other than the way you came in. If you stay in places where you always have a way out you won't get trapped into a gunfight. Say your in a place where theres 2 or 3 ways in, your not visible to cops but still wanted...watch your mini map if you see a cop coming close to one of the entry points run out another way find a new spot to hide rinse and repeat. If your not visible to cops you really don't even need to hide, you can stay moving, just watch your mini map and when you see a cop up ahead turn.

if you have more than a 2 star your gonna have a chopper looking for you but you can lose choppers easy buy changing your direction of travel quickly or find cover under an overpass. Another thing that works is driving right up the mountains.

Don't hide, or try and shoot it out then. Just run...off-road preferably. If the helicopter is after you just continue to avoid the ground cops as the helicopter stops chasing you after about 30 secs - 1min.

 

If you get into a gun battle with cops you'll just end up losing as your wanted level will increase and they'll just keep sending more and more after you.

Its definitely excessive. They dont efen try to arrest you anymore its just shoot on sight. The wait time is the most obvious offender, I shouldnt have to wait as long with a 1 star as I do with a 5. Issues like this I cant believe r* didnt catch, its like they didnt play their own game.

I think the cops are pretty easy the ones IRL follow you for more than 5 minutes and don't just give up when they lose you, also you aren't right back on the street in a minute after being arrested so we've got it pretty easy in GTA Online

If you have glasses in your inventory... switch to glasses... I.E : you rob a store with your mask... as you go out of the store... remove your mask... hop in your car and as you loose the cop (3 stars or 2 stars dose not matters) as they search for you... put your glasses on... or remove if you had them on... this will get you to loose 1 wanted stars... and also don't stay too long in the same spot... just turn left on one street right on the other one...

Also try with a chopper... I rober 12 stores in a row... 4 stars after the 3 rd one lol if you are a good pilot it's somehow easy to evade 4 even 5 stars...

They were really aiming for a "realistic" bunch of cops, didn't they? They should have made Wanted level to stay on for a couple of years.

Police never arrests, they always kill - even if you stand in front of a cop for 2 seconds and get one star.

What pisses me off the most is that when I am running away from them and hide in an alley, a cop car spawns nearby and enters that specific alley I am in, they do not enter other alleys to "check" and make me feel like it's kinda random. Nope... they know exactly where I am.

I once hid under the bridge and about 3 cop cars stopped right above me and stayed there until the wanted level was dropped.
So... in other words - our characters are cop magnets and the cops will always get drown into our area, no matter what.
This makes escaping from cops with 4 stars literally impossible, since the cops spawn in front of you like the whole city was a bunch of undercover cops.

You have to learn how to escape! (use SP to practice!)

Once you get the hang on it, its quite easy.

 

First, when they are out of reach, change your appearance! That will remove one Star. After that, hide in a safe place and look at the map. When they can see you drive away.

 

Don´t mess with cops if you don´t have to. DON`T FIGHT THEM! You will loose!

 

If you run out of energy go in cover and eat some snacks. In cover you can eat faster.

If you have 4+ Stars, you have to get to places, where the helis can´t reach you. (Subway tunnels, bridges) Most fun place are the windmills! They will crash.

It's not just the cops, Drug dealers and all NPC's can shoot you with pinpoint accuracy "Without looking even!", They do no looks shooting behind cover and every single shot hits the same spot, if i'm behind cover every bullet hits the same spot, if I go out from cover they suddenly know and I get shot. Sometimes there so far away I can barely see them but they can shoot me in my nose with pinpoint accuracy.

Ya the cops are actually such bulls*it. I stole a jet from the army base and flew well up over the clouds so that the cop cars can't see you and NORMALLY higher than where the cop helicopters would be in that short time and guess what.... those stupid helicopters magically are spawning above me... like wtf. What I hate the most though is how you manage to get away from them on the highway, they're searching for you, there's one driving way up ahead of you, and then magically he just turns around before you even get close and you're caught again.
