Well....I'm sure you enjoyed san andreas for ps2 so what can you do in SA that you can't do in 5? what makes it more fun than 5 since it's a total let down?

Even if this game was just 2 player co op with a friend like saints row 2 and 3 it'd still be the sh*t.

i dont think you're grasping the concept of the missions don't actually give a big enough reward increase to validate that statement OP is correct this game has a very rushed feel to it online and offline i mean come on a game who's main characters are bank robbers only contained what 2-3 heists in SP wheres the sense in that? then you have the franklin/lamar storys etc never a forum gangster story line would've been nice to get some of the territory take over stuff back to gta and taking down some of the other gangs and what not it just has these repetitive online missions with sucky rewards it makes no sense they couldve done so much more with it and it is a little disappointing

There were 6 heists technically in the game.

An Franklin was trying to run away from the gangster scene, his whole reason for wanting to work with micheal.

Yea but what gang banger gets out of the life that easily? after playing through the SP it began to feel less like a real GTA game started going downhill from vice city if you ask me lol dont get me wrong im enjoying the online feature i just wish the RP rewards would scale up as you leveled like other online games doing level 40+ missions that give less the a level 15 is backwards imo but thats all this is just my opinion i didnt make the game so my opinion on its design is kinda void haha

You could tell R* and Take-Two f'd up royally when they sold the single fastest selling entertainment product in history.

Gotta love it when you can debunk lengthy, emotionally-fuelled essays in a sentence.

LOL and what game comes right behind it in sales? Call of Duty, Call of Duty this, Call of Duty that.

All sh*t games by nearly everyone's standards. Sales don't determine quality. I don't give a sh*t if it raked in a bigger profit than the size of the US federal deficit. That doesn't magically make it a GOOD game, that just makes it a game that a sh*t-ton of people bought. And that's IT.

Why are you in such a rush? I really dont get that. In my opnion it's a good thing, that earning goes slow, because when you have earned everything there is and can buy everyhting there is, what the point for you, since obviously all you care about is earning cash and leveling. The game has ended! whoopsiedoooo!

I can really enjoy the game itself and really dont care about the money or the RP. it's the most diverse game i have ever seen.

Well then what you're saying is GTA: Online suffers from a more common MMO affliction: lack of end game content.

And the rush is because I want to level up ASAP so I can get the nicer clothes, get the money to get the nicer cars, unlock the best LS Customs upgrades, etc. There's WAY more stuff to enjoy at the far-end of the rank scale than there is at the starting line, man. Come on...what game encourages you to take ranking up "slow"? Seriously.

No one's forcing you to spend REAL money (it's not neccessary in any way to enjoy the game) and game launches fail all the time, if you expected this to be a perfect launch you set yourself up for dissapointment.

If you consider grinding out measly jobs for endless amounts of time just to get a garage to put your cars in to be enjoyable, then that's great. I don't. Not when jobs are so bland and repetitive. Go here. Kill this. Destroy that. Bring this to that guy. Done. Repeat 1000x and we'll give you a crappy apartment. Repeat another 1000x and we'll give you a car....sorry...that's not my cup of tea.

And I didn't expect this to be a "perfect launch". I didn't expect this game to be as boring, bland, and repetitive as it is either. That much I can say.

That's what GTA is. It's GTA and it's online... GTA:Online

No offense but GTA narrative was never it's strong suit.

GTA is at its best when it doesn't take itself seriously.

the only thing you can compare to the Titanic are the baby faced kids believing they are the king of the world while they shoot someone who minds their own business.

The single player version is the best single player game I have ever played, I enjoyed every second of it.
The character Customization is not even close to be finished, there will be so much more including plastic surgery. They completely took this model from Test Drive 2. It works, it's good, It is motivating.

Once the first DLC is out people can do heists.
I made more friends in GTAO as in 6 months already

I agree that sometimes playing a mission alone can be a relief but I am sure this will sort out once people get enough Bad Sport Punishment.

the only thing I can complain about right now is that when I start one of the harder missions (i'm level 31, have played a lot, no real grinding to get there though) people often don't join as they are on lower levels, and the ones that do join usually don't have the equipment to pull it off and end up dead... it's hard to deliver 2 choppers when I'm the only one left :p I guess I need more friends

No offense but none of your criticism hold merit.

At the end of the day GTA V campaign was really f*cking fun and enjoyable, and Los Santos was great to explore.

GTA ONLINE is still growing and building. Rockstar will constantly give tweaks and fixes, and publish new (free) content to play with. What we are playing right now is essentially a beta more or less.

I consider gta v to be a really great game, and I'm honestly sad that you don't think likewise. But regardless, enjoy your life [email protected]

Yeah, "growing and building". Heard the same thing about Black Ops 2. It's all rhetoric and slogans to me. I want substance, results. Not promises.

The only tragic thing here is the notion that this masterpiece of a game is being devalued over your inability to wear more than five beards.

Way to extrapolate one little bit of my post and make it sound like that's all I was talking about. Your reading comprehension skills must suck harder than a Kardashian in the Miami Heat locker room.

I selectively read stuff to suit my argument.

It's a bit like how you play games it seems.

ahahahaha :cookie:

GTA series has pretty much come to an end. When games are made with only one thing in mind and that's $, all that remains are great graphics, physics and voice acting. Game becomes a 10-20 hour movie and nothing more. When i heared all the promises and that GTA V is the most expensive game today and seen all the official videos. I was really hyped. But after playing it, yeah sure it was ok, not much different from all the other gta games before. How long can you just remake something untill it starts to lose its shine.

Its time to make some room for developers who actually make games for the love of it.

Recently indie developers have had some amazing ideas in games, we need more of this and less the same old same old but with better graphics and tennis.

Everyone who has ever played an online game, knows what the community is on the internet.

Why would a huuuge game company with loads of experience make an online game that shoots its self in the foot.

Did somebody actually think maybe GTAO will be a different experience.

Are all the game designers @ R* females?

Females tend to think they can change people. (I'm not sexist, its just a known fact)

Here my take on GTA Online After 20 hours of play and reaching rank 30 with no farming:

So first and foremost, i know everyone can have their own opinion, but dam how could anyone think the missions/jobs in this game are boring. Ive been having so much fun in this game, more fun in an online game in a while. Lack of variety? Seriously? There are races of all types like gta races, regular races on bikes, motorcycles, cars, boats etc. And all this with about 90 different tracks all together. Then you got Deathmatch and Team Death Match with over 50 different places/maps. Last man standing, Survival. Then you have all the great modes i have discovered so far while playing such as dog fighting, Top Fun Missions, etc. Then all of the coop missions you have to do that are in the game. Should i keep going? Ok what about all the free roam stuff that's pretty decent? Trying to steal an armor truck, tennis, golf, darts, parachuting, buying cars owning apartments/garages, and so on. All this on top of soon to come capture the flag mode, more clothing and cars coming, Heist, and content creator, on top of this game already being said to be supported for a Long time, content is def not the problem in the game. If nothing of what i listed sounds fun to you, fine i think your crazy but fine, then i guess Gta online isn't for you, but saying lack of variety in missions and fun stuff to do is a joke.

Second The money in the game so far for the missions/jobs payout i think are pretty good. Races Give you a good amount, lst place gets 8000. I think the cost for items is pretty well balanced as well, again my opinion. But i do think the health bill in free roam has to be altered, 2000 is way to much when you die. It encourages people not to mess around a lil in free roam. Maybe 500? or maybe something else to combat it i don't know. As far as GTA Cash cards, i don't mind them. As of right now i don't see myself buying them, they don't give you an edge really in most modes online, and i like playing and enjoying everything to buy nice apartments, clothing, cars etc. Its fun looking forward to saying ok what am i going to save up for next. I've made 400,000 already. Also dont need to worry about ranking so fast, sure you get more and more cool stuff as you rank up, and i look forward to them, but i like the pace of the game, enjoy the game and play, ranks will come on their own,

Story mode in the game was long huge and so much fun to discover. The story mode missions were fun diverse and much better then past GTA games. I still play story and find new things and mess around.

I think aside from the technical issues the game is having online, this game is a great start from how they described their vision. If they take this as far as there saying, where on day we can catch a plane and go to Miami and explore there another city etc, add more missions, modes etc, i could still playing this game forever. And if One day on next gen we get more then 16 players online, in the same world in the future that would be epic. There are some things i think could be improved or changed, but dam GTA online has been some of the best fun i had online in a while, and even when i get my ps4 and xbox one, i will keep turning on my 360 to play gta online, as long as new content keeps being released.

I must disagree. GTA 4's missions were varied and interesting, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing through the story and beating it THRICE times over.

Except rockstar already promised that in the new few weeks we will get Co-Op heists, Capture The Flag Mode, Creation Editor Tool, and Beach Bum Pack (new clothing/weapons/vehicles) all in the coming weeks.

1) Co-op heists that pay out what kind of money?

2) PvP in this game is screwed until they fix the spawn system. Right now, MW3 has better spawns. That's saying something...

3) Lord only knows how that will pan out.

4) DLC we'll have to PAY for. I have no intent on paying another penny towards this game until I see return on my initial investment. Besides, even if I was 100% satisfied, I wouldn't pay extra for more carts. There's 250 something cars in the game already. That's quite enough for me. And I can do with what clothes and weapons already exist.

You have almost certainly played an extreme amount of single-player and have admitted to playing over 30 hours of online but you still feel you have not seen a return on your initial investment? Please never come back.

How tragic it is...the similarities between the Titanic and GTA: Online. A ship thought to be unsinkable, and a game thought by nearly everyone (myself included) to be unbeatable. But because of nothing less than sheer stupidity on the part of the people in charge, both were fatally crippled in their infancy before either had a chance to shine and live up to all the hype.

I know I'm one of the DOZENS of people "bitching" about the latest patch that pretty much cut any job grinding method off at the pass, but honestly, for me, that's the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the ways in which GTA Online (as WELL as GTA V for that matter) has utterly failed in my opinion.

1) The sheer amount of sh*tdickery in public matches pretty much FORCES you to play solo or only with friends if you want to have any chance of NOT paying a ridiculous healthcare bill every five seconds. Really? You would think that a game whose title ends in "Online" would motivate you to play with...oh...I don't know...OTHER f*ckING PEOPLE? Instead, Rockstar makes up this "good behavior reward" bullsh*t - a measly $1000 - to make it look like they support teamwork and peaceful coexistence between players. Give me a break. You might as well give me a gummy bear or a smiley-face sticker like we're back in kindergarten, because from what I've seen, either of those will do just as much good as $1000 in terms of incentivizing players to not be indiscrimiate dicks to others around them.

2) The game is built like an MMO but with a CoD kind of emphasis on spending REAL money....The design of this game: everything from repeatable (scoff) missions to character creation...it all screams MMO, but when it comes to supporting grinding for decent rewards like ANY MMO I've ever seen....this game makes it a complete impossibility. Look at Star Trek: Online, that's an MMO that got the free-to-play model right. GTA:O isn't free to play. It isn't even pay-to-win. GTA: Online....is pay-to-enjoy. If you aren't willing to shell out tons of money for in-game cash, prepare to spend your entire existence on this game scraping out a pathetic reward for each 15 minute mission as you wallow at the bottom, perhaps reaching Rank 100 by mid-2014.

3) GTA V got completely turned into a sideshow...a demo version of GTA: Online. All those wonderful promises of what we could expect in GTA 5 (not ONLINE...)...buying houses, garages, and cars...deep character customization - All LIES. No buyable houses. Only three 4-car garages. Haircuts and beards for each character that I can all count on one hand. A jokingly shallow selection of buyable vehicles. This is what we all waited for? A very hollow game compared to what we were promised, that's for sure.

So what GTA V and GTA Online have boiled down to for me is a mediocre game coated in lies to seem historically amazing that CAN be enjoyable, the only caveat being I have to be playing Online and I have to be playing Solo or with a friend, AND I have to be willing to spend weeks of playtime at a rank too low to buy anything expensive to try and rank up so I can, at some distant point in future, build up a bankroll. It's either that or open up my real-world wallet...

I've got to say, I think this is the most disappointing title I've EVER played on the XBox...but for a unique reason. It isn't the worst title I've ever played, that title I reserve for MW2. What makes it so disappointing is how far a FALL it took from where it was originally. I really thought this game would save the industry. Instead, it descended into a boring, glitchy mess where money is scarce, everything is too expensive to pay for through jobs, thus motivating you to take part in the cancer of the gaming industry: microtransactions. I for one am quite stretched thin on funds and have no intent of paying out of pocket to compensate for the fact that Rockstar wants more of my money badly enough to sabotage the game's structure.

It pains me to say this considering how much of a love affair I imagined having with this game before it came out, but....I'm going back to Star Trek: Online. Later, everyone. It's been real.

Good now go and rethink your life

If all you're doing is just grinding out cash and RP for the sake of grinding, you are playing the wrong game. I suggest WoW.

I have fun playing, my only gripe is me and my friends all lost a ton of progress.

You sound like a care bear trying to come off has hard. You do realize GTA will always have player killing eachother.... It's f*cking gta. Can't handle it? Go play hello kitty island adventures. Want to grind but can't? Go play WoW.

You sound like a crying bitch because the game isn't perfect. No sh*t its not, ask that question to three people and you won't get a straight answer.... Can't please em all, and I'm glad they don't try to please the unpleasable like the TC.

Also it's funny you say you hate CoD and call it sh*t, yet all you compare this game to is how much worse it is than CoD. Question.... How would you know if you don't play CoD?

Got him, Ezpz lemon squeezy. We got a little CoD fanboi here fellas.

Do you have any semblance of thought what happened in history, or do you believe it says what you want?

The Titanic and GTAO are entirely dissimilar. Hundreds of people died on the Titanic, where in GTAO there's connection issues, bugs and glitches.

Where exactly do you get off likening the tragic deaths of hundreds of people to issues with a f*cking video game?

Titanic was boring for like 2 hours untill that ship finally went down

Soooooooooo, now all we can do is wait for The Asylum to make a GTA Online II?

And at least The Titanic sailed for a while :p

A while being several days. For that matter, GTA: Online arguably lasted longer XP

Why don't you go troll with your friends?
