I always turn it off but i don't mind it being on when others are hosting, it gets kinda boring being in first with no competition anyway.

I already done a lot of races, and the most of them were with catch up. In my opinion the option makes the races more interesting, when you have good drivers around you. The negative is, that when you have crash kids around you, they iwll crash you...

 

Without catch up, when you have luck and go first, you stay there. But when you will be crashed out at the start, you stay in the back. Which is very frustrating. So I think, as a good racing driver, the catch up feature is pretty okay. It's the drivers, which crash you and ruin the race.
