Helicopter camera angle!?!

I'm having an issue with flying helicopters that is really pissing me off. The camera angle is always at a birds eye view, just looking directly down on the helicopter so I have to balance the right analogue stick (down\backwards) to point the camera in the direction im flying. It wasn't always like this but it is now its f*cking wrecking my head!! The helicopters are a nightmare to fly already without this added messing with the controller...has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it...I've tried controller options...and its the same online.

And please don't say that that's the way it is for everyone because its just not. I've also tried different controllers and even a separate PS3...

By some chance has the cinematic camera been bugged on with only the one camera view? try pressing O on and off to see if it refreshes it maybe? You also said you've checked settings so this is where it says default camera near far or something...

Its not cinematic anyway because I remember switching back and forth from it just for fun...but the camera angle is just always set from above.

Usually if you're flying a helicopter and you want to look directly down on it and see the road (for example) directly below you, you'd push the analogue stick all the way forward and would get a view from directly above but my default view is this one...such a f*cking head f*ck haha

It just means that the camera is usually going all over the place as I try to fly the helicopter because taking my thumb off the right analogue stick occasionally to fly the f*cker causes it to pan back to birds eye view (which it shouldn't) and further causing disorientation as I have to balance back the camera carefully again to see where im going (trying not to lean left or right while im at it) .... Arghh its just bullsh*t... Don't know why its like this :(

I believe there is an option in one of the setting menus to set the camera to above or below the vehicle you are driving. You will want to set it for below. edit: I think it is in the display settings. I'm at work right now, otherwise I would verify it for you.

Change the 'camera height' between high/low in the display settings like jimsquints mentioned and then cycle through the different views using the 'select' button on your controller. Hopefully that works I can't stand that camera angle either it defeats the purpose of flying the heli.

Yeah, I have tried this...i set my car camera angle to high just because I prefer it that way but this helicopter business has me baffled...

I will have yet another look later but I don't have much faith in finding anything to change it...

I have never been into the helicopter settings prior to this happening, I just happened out of nowhere...and I swear to God its a f*cking nightmare...i have just ruled out helicopters as a form of transport entirely now.

Cheers mate, I'll give it a shot...just feels like a I have tried everything and its just stuck like that from a glitch or some sh*t...im trying to get the "under the Bridge" trophy and need a helicopter for some of them...haha...im ready to bounce the controller off the TV lol
