so nerfing missions has priority over the character deletion issue

so farming the same missions over and over is a threat for their micro transactions and their rather nerf stuff instead of focusing on the main problem that is having you to start the game over again due to your character being deleted.

 

so they kinda force you to buy $$$ if you wanna catch up to the point you were before after days of fair gaming.

 

trollstar, I dont care about farmers being ahead of me in terms of money, I only care about having my progress f*cking safe and not have to f*cking restart everytime.

 

You fail at MMORPG

Although I don't like the fact that they take out the "replay" feature, I cannot agree with this.

 

They probably have a different team of engineers looking into that issue. They don't need the entire company to stop all their works and fix the character deletion issue.

Do you honestly think they have everyone looking into the character deletion issue? That is stupid, you can't have too many people working on the same project.

I'd say it's a really severe issue and deserves way more manpower than anything else.

But you do realise that not every engineer will be looking into that issue? Having too many people working on it would probably be a bad thing as communication and changes is important.

Everyone knows Rockstar has 1 go to guy to fix everything. They couldn't possibly afford a team or two of people as they're just a small indie developer.

There is even a warning screen up when loading in online mode telling you how to avoid character deletion now.

Turns out it is your own fault for being an impatient noob and overwriting your own character. No fix required other than getting a brain and some patience.

plus, the money farming is only a threat to the game in games that have and active economy system and auction houses like final fantasy 11 and world of warcraft aswell many others. Players having millions dont affect other players in this game, they only affect rockstars greediness and the microtransaction market that should not even exist in the first place.

And why wouldn't they?

 

There are people willing to buy currency... take WoW for instance (or all those building and farming apps for smartphones now a-days), can you tell me that the gold farming business isn't flourishing? Perhaps not as much as it was a couple of years ago for WoW, but sure as hell it's still profitable and those in-app purchases to get a boost are most likely selling like hell as well. Candy crush or whatever it is called brings in about 630k USD per day. So why shouldn't they sell in-game currency, some third party company will do it otherwise. The more money they make of this product, the more likely you are to see updates and dlc for it. Some will be good, some great and some not so good and perhaps sooner or later (preferrably later - things that they churn out will be completely awful). No one is going to invest money (salaries in this case most likely) into something that isn't generating a revenue. Then again, revenue doesn't equal a good game - then again, it doesn't necessarily equal a bad game either, we'll just have to wait and see what they make out of it.

that screen only stays for a second, no one can read it that fast...just saying.

Don't care. The shareholders at Rockstar are protecting their micro transactions, while there game is RIDDLED with game breaking bugs!!! This topic is about priority, and priority should be given to the customer who bought your game, not the potential to set up a situation to milk them further.

 

It is actually bad business, as they will soon find out. Reputation is everything, and they may have shattered sales records, but their campaign was over WAAAAY to fast, and their MMO experience is second rate and destroyed by bugs.
