Why not just buy a cash card instead of farming?

If I see one more person refer to their character as "toon" I'm gonna lose my ***t...

My toon is sexy as f*ck

Also I'd like to add that you only paid for GTA V, GTAO is separate and came free with the game. So technically you spent f*ck all on GTAO

I really don't understand where this comes from. What, because Rockstar gave GTAV multiplayer its own name it now becomes a separate but free product?? Congratulations, you have completely assimilated a marketing ploy. Guess what? I actually paid for GTAO and it came with GTAV for free.

some ppl cant invest the same game time as others can, but still want some of the perks

the cash cards as stated above dont give rp, its just money... so it doesnt give an advantage in the game except for money

without rank you cant buy every gun, without rank you cant play every dm/race/misison

its not a pay to win card its just an extra, you dont have to do it

also ppl should do bawsaq more ... can make loads of cash when you do it before going to work and come back from work

BASWAQ hasn't been available for me for the entire time GTA online has been up.

Trust me, buying cash cards will make you lose all enthusiasm for the game.

When something is "perceived" to be given to you, you don't appreciate it the same as if you had "earned" it

I remember playing forza4 reaching like lvl 70 or so but still wanted the high end Ferraris which cost 8 mill and up. Decided to buy a card so I could complete my dream collection. Needless to say I bought all the cars I wanted, test drove them. Then put the game down for over a year. Smh!

True story, allot off the people in my crew are close to being millionaires from grinding. Last nite two members offered me 100k, but I declined. I don't mind being the muscle, and rather "work for mine" so lastnite was the first time I did a lil grinding. Made about 70k in 40 mins

So I should have my highend apartment this evening afterwork, considering my character is still there.. lvl 17 with 170k in bank

A genuine question! Aren't the cash cards cheap? Why not just buy a cash card and get say the best apartment?

$100,000 Red Shark Cash Card – £1.99

$200,000 Tiger Shark Cash Card – £3.49

$500,000 Bull Shark Cash Card – £6.99

$1,250,000 Great White Shark Cash Card – £13.49

Is £7 a lot of money for something you'd enjoy for maybe a year or more?

im going to be buying cards for the game without a second thought. I used to play APB and this is normal. I dont play all day every day as I have business to run and family to talk to. I will be buying the sh*t hot cars, big house and all the fluff i can muster from the cards (as soon as i can get my hands on them that is nas they seem to be down all the time!)

God. The money I put into Joker Boxes. I could have bought GTAV probably four times.

I'll probably do it here too. Us middle aged gamer types usually have more money than time. $20 is what I spend on lunch. And we go out a couple times a week. So...

I wouldn't mind having a nicer apartment to store cars that I steal and claim. That's worth the 400k or whatever. Once they get the game framework solidified, and iron our some of these exploit issues, then I can see spending a few bucks.

It kinda ruins the fun of it :/ wudnt u like to have your hard work pay off when buying a nice apt with a 10 car garage instead of being a tool and using real cash

I would rather have a 10 car garage so I can use that time to go out and find the cars I want and to able to keep them now. I don't have the time you guys do to farm these missions. I will play the missions but not over and over again.

This is not an mmo to me with the farming of things. It is an open sand box game with more potential so I will pay for a perk from time to time. I am an adult who knows how to value his time per fun.

Do what you want to do, enjoy yourself.

Yes, I mean that.

Unfortunately this doesn't apply to today's generation. Even playing on the system you want to is a crime nowadays.

Dreamcast?

Because then you're a sheep. You're allowing R* to f*ck you up the ass with their push on micro-transactions.

Is OP retarded?

Buy a cash card? Pay for resources in the game I payed for already?

Seriously the people that allow this sh*t to happen need to be shot.

The people that pay for this stuff, that show there is a market for being ripped off need to be buried in a hole.

A year or more? That money could and would be lost in a day because of all the c*nts that wanna just kill.

Say I buy 10000and some prick kill me ten times in a row, that's most if not all of that real money wasted.

You have to be real weak minded to think this is acceptable. Also paying to speed up game progress makes the game shorter, you're paying to lessen your experiance.

Well done, not a single thought given.

My favourite part of threads like this is the fake world-weary cynicism by gamers pretending to be jaded and wise, preaching the evils of cash like businesses aren't entitled to sell their product.

Cash cards give 0 RP.

Here's how microtransactions work:

It starts off small, something like cosmetics and such. In GTAOnline's version, it starts off with money right off the bat. But that's okay, because RP supposedly limits you, right? Hardly. Minigun and tank are the only two things people care about that you have to unlock at the later levels. You can get high end cars at rank 2 for all you care.

But let's say you support Rockstar by dishing out cash for ingame cash. Then it progresses onto buying RP. Soon enough you end up paying money just to revive or play a heist each time, like one of those arcade games you can play when waiting for a movie.

Then you end up being able to buy stuff exclusive to only those who pay for it, e.g. the best weapons, cars, and armor. It only gets worse from there.

Or, you could just not support microtransaction bs and end it there.

this right here

f*ck the cash cards
