Rockstar is making money so impossible that we must buy it likely...

My only grudge really are the medical bills. I wouldn't lose so much of my hard earned cash if I didn't lose $1000 every time some asshole decides to kill me. It's made me a much more aggressive player since I cant even trust anyone anymore. Takes 5-10 min, maybe longer to do a mission to earn $3000 which can be lost in 1 min.

Agree, but when the game is running as it should be, this won't be a problem even if there is no patch. All your money would be in either property or on the BAWSAQ, and you'd just withdraw as and when you need it. That was actually something I was thinking about in the morning. Rather than put my cash into the bank, have it go in BAWSAQ on few of the companies. Like half my cash in one of the cheapest companies that goes down one week, and one in another cheap company that will be up the week my other company is down, and then make a potential profit every week.

That way if hospital bills still exist, I shouldnt lose any of my hard earned cash, then I can only be MAKING money.

If this is about the Violent Duct then I agree with R*'s decision to nerf the payout. 9k a pop at level 15 seemed a little bit much.

I really think the cash pay out should depend on the amount of time it takes to complete the mission aswell. I dont mean how long it takes you, but an expected average time to complete it, and maybe earn extra for exceeding the time.

Also for missions that are completed already, they should give a slightly reduced payout aswell, with the initial completion awarding the most, only to give a reason to complete it.

I disagree.

They want to increase the duration of the game. People shouldn't be able to hit millions in the first week, they want you to work for it and actual experience their game for what it is, not farm it.

If they wanted you to pay for it they'd include pay walls, which they have not and stated they will not.

And if they wanted people to experience the game and not pay their rich selves through it, they'd put cooldowns on how often you can purchase a cash card, e.g. once a month.

But, from all we know, they probably won't.

It's too early to assume that is their intention. I understand you may not think its fair for someone to spend $20 and then they can purchase the fastest car in the game, but there is no real advantage to being able to do that besides having a fast car or a huge garage. They still wouldn't be able to buy all the weapons (thanks Rockstar, this keeps less money paying douches from griefing the world), get all the car mods or weapon attachments or do all the hardest missions. But what advantage does a fast car or huge garage give a money buyer? None. You can use all vehicles for free in races, get all weapons in certain game modes...etc. The only way buying money will be beneficial would be AFTER they earned everything. Also you cant even buy cash right now so how are you forced? Earn your sh*t ingame and take pride in it. If some douchebag tries to destroy YOUR expensive vehicle, stand your f*cking ground. Have some pride, and stop caring about cash buyers. Just be glad they don't get exclusive features, because eventually money won't even be hard to get once you have stacks on stacks.

before any of you jump to conclusions i think we need to wait for heists.

From what I have heard JP will be spent to start a heist, so the small missions will gain you this and the heists will be the big bucks, just like in single player

hey i wasnt digging. i was just saying lol. i wont be buying anything. i like to play the game properly and earn my cash n weapons etc. ive not farmed once nor do i intend on doing so.. but if they are nerfing the payouts etc then its only right that they reduce prices in customs and amunation. some of the prices are stupidly high

Money making is not that hard in GTAO. All you need in the moment is a great apartment and a good car. That can be done in 20-40 hours gameplay. What else you need money for????

You guys keep throwing this around, but do you really think that all of that money is going into GTA Online? Let's be realistic here. First of all they have to patch all of the mistakes they made which in case you didn't know releasing a patch costs a lot of $$$ to release. Then after all of the patches they have to release the DLC which also cost a lot of $$$. Whatever is left after all of that is probably going to go into their future titles or do you really except for them to throw it all on GTA Online and say "Screw it" to their other titles?

exactly I mena game just released... yes it's anoying to loose a character ( I lost a lev 24) erased the slot by frustration I tought the stupid bald character with headphone looked like a guy with aids about to die soon... but anyway I mena people complain it's hard to get a 300 k app and buy an infurnus... this game was not intended to be reach in 2 weeks and own everything there is otherwise people would stop playing after a month... everyone would have apprtment and luxurious car and would be bored of killing each other...
My new character is a level 13 with a 200 k apartment and 10 cars I stole in my garage.. I have 86 $ in bank lol but still enjoy the game a lot with my friends and can't wait to be back at lev 25-30 for the heist and those big plane stealing mission... this is were the game is really fun...

Whats the f*ckin point, if everything is locked until you reach the appropriate level or complete said objectives......by the time you level up it becomes obsolete... thats why i liked tdu finish the game and get rewarded appropriately,

Yeah, this is pay-to-play.... and is the XP system reduced to a level where we must play obsessively to reach many aspects... Basically, the worst two elements of a MMORPG to keep people playing or paying... whilst GTA:O has none of the depth...

Why can't I just f*ck around with all the weapons as in GTA IV? Oh yeah, I must earn the weapons by 300 hours of gameplay and repeat retarded, mundane missions to EARN the cash to afford these...

Sincerely disappointed...they didn't make leveling more easier and was focused too much on creating a difficult experience to prolong TERRIBLE sh*t. Everything is an obstacle to earning cash and maintaining it, a cycle we must follow - garage fees, deaths, repairs, ammunition for missions (not provided).

so, you can't farm anymore?

this-is-how-much-I-care-funny.jpg

This isn't about ability to farm, it's the topic of progression and how this affects our ability to enjoy the experience. There's also an issue, of course, of Rockstar's obvious fixation on finances...which although understandable as it's a corporation, few people anticipated them to do so.

Essentially: "We'll create many artificial difficulties and awkward progression. Pretend it's a challenge and anyone who doesn't like it isn't 'hardcore enough'.You'll keep playing to REACH a normal GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE, have fun, or just buy a cash card to access some features sooner ahead of those fools enjoying half-assed missions.]

Lol.

They want to force microtransactions on us.

If they want to increase the duration of the game, they'd have added more content, content that is more expensive than what we have now.

Grind =/= Content, and this is what it is becoming, we will have to grind to get what we want, it will take some a week just to get the cheapest safehouse, which is sh*t.

You do not increase the duration of the game by making it more difficult to get the best items.

It will only kill your playerbase, we will all be worn out in a month, unless we get new content to ease the grind.

I would've accepted the removal of farming, if we had Hiests, and the BAWSAQ was up, but they are not, this will kill their playerbase, its exactly what is happening to DUST 514.

Instead of adding new content, they increased the amount of time it took to get the content we already have.

http://eve-offline.net/?server=dust

And its pretty evident from those numbers, that DUST is dieing.

Am I the only person that plays just for fun and if I earn enough money to buy something new so be it? I don't log in to grind up cash I just log in to race and play with my friends.

I AM SORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, BUT MY WEBCAM IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH.

Well, there are 2 sides to this conversation:

1. Instant gratification - you get everything from day 1. Then what? How will you justify coming back? What will motivate you to come back? So, you`ll just rush to the forums and yell: GAME IS TOO EASY!

2. Asian grind - Spend 10 days for one level. Mileage can vary, but everyone but the best grinders of us will get burnt-out and leave. So, you`ll rush to the forums and yell: GAME IS TOO HARD!

There is a third, which most games are trying = various inbreds between too easy and too hard games. And because we, as a community, are not taxing their sales fast enough, they are getting away with half-assed methods.

Technically I have never really even "farmed" for money and RP. By this I mean that I have replayed a Race but just because for the race itself and money/RP are just bonus thingies. This is because grinding/farming is filled with boredom (go from A to B, go from A to B, go from A to B...), which is not the point of the game... I suppose.

I don't really care about the amount of money I have, it comes when it comes. I just play the game for fun. Ask yourself: Is grinding/farming a Mission "fun"? To me, it becomes more like a chore to do everyday.

What do you get with money anyway? Cars (you can steal them, even if you couldn't save luxury ones)? Apartments (basically useless before Heists, only good for a Spawn point when joining free-mode)? Garages? Well garages are currently useful too.

Whether you want to be rich or something like that, that's your style. It doesn't matter if you play the game for getting an Infernus by buying one. If I get money for a luxury car, I'll likely buy one because why not? The point is that I'm not obsessed with the money.

So, having only a pistol and tank top is fun for 48 hours? Being unable to afford an assault rifle is enjoyable as an experience? Being taxed to a point where one's anxious to drive near other players is nice?

Whilst I do understand the argument of unique skillsets, cars and weapons with each level creating a unique experience, I do think it is too long in areas and unnecessarily restrictive in others. People may want to simply f*ck around through a flexible system without RPG statistics, requirements which need extensive work and missions accomplished to afford equipment.

Hell, even something simple as stealing a very rare (discovering one an accomplishment itself) supercar is moot by being unable to store it.

Assault rifle is 9 grand. You can make that in a half hour, with some chump change left over

The whole concept of an online game is that the higher level you are the better the payouts are. Which I think that R* has done pretty well. Just because they nerfed a level 15 mission from having 9k a pop does not make them greedy.Think about it, if they left it in you would have all these low level people having millions of dollars and complaining that the game was too easy because they were able to buy all the nice things at level 20.For those calling R* greedy you really need to reevaluate what actual greed is. If R* was actually that greedy there is no possible way that they would release not one but four free DLC. Most of the DLC adding some pretty significant things.
