So, I think this may actually be the first time I have ever given up on a mission and thats not just on GTA but on every game I have ever played!

Lester gives you a mission where you have to rampage across LS destroying Police cars, armored vans and bikes. Now in my defense it was 10.30 (should have gone to bed then as early start) and I had been at work and the gym but damn! Nothing went right in that mission, i got the cars not problem then drove over to the armored van....and thats when the problems began.

Trying to blow that van up caused me no end of frustration with two areas being key.

1. To hit it with a nade (whilst having 3* and all the fun that brings) means you have to jump up on the wall and then nade down into the carpark. Easy enough. Except my guy is a retard and cannot help but jump after the grenade, rag doll down the scaffolding, only to land next to his nade and said van. Dummy! I swear I tired not to jump down there but we all know the game can been twitchy at times.

2. Respawn. So once you blow the van (and usually follow it because if the suicide jump wont get you, the helicopters and enraged popo will) you respawn, not down a nice side road but in a housing complex or in other words a maze! And what do you have for a companion in this maze!? A count down timer. 1.30. Which means normally by the time I have found my way out and got a car (normally a piece of crap!) i dont have enough time to get to the bikes. Ow, and not mention you have angry police cars harassing you the whole time.

I managed to get to the bikes 3 times and all 3 time I got hemmed in (with seconds left on the clock) by police and blew myself up with nades! lol the irony. However, what frustrate me the most is that on most games I would guaranteed be able to replay that mofo tonight but with the spontaneous quest system I may never see it again. I think given enough time, the right equipment and planning (not to mention another player!) this quest would be fine but not last night.

I'm interested to hear others experience with fails?

It took me three tries and getting a teammate to finally pull this one off. A good trick is to use stickies on the bikes, and detonate them as you near the next target. It should give you enough time to lose your wanted level before proceeding.

Do you know I tried using stickies. I completely agree they are the way to go with this one....but I used them all up in my fails and didn't want to fork out for some more. This mission just cost me...and o how I loathe that yellow car!

It's easy. 1 grenade can take out the 2 police cars if you throw it in the middle of them.

For the Riot Van, the easiest was to get it is to drive your car up the large steps on the right hand side of the Police building. Get out and run over to the barrier and you can see down into the Police car park. Throw a grenade down to the van, jump back in your car, reverse down the steps and then head over to the bikes.

Again, the bikes can be taken out in one go with a well positioned grenade. Usually blowing up 1 bike causes them all to go up.

Then it's just a straight ride to the Prison, but you're in an armoured car so it's no trouble....

Lol and mine and 3 police cars! As I said I am sure I can do this quest I was more interested to hear other peoples tales of frustration.

However, my nades always seem to hit that fence causing instant gravy pants.

The van got me too, man. Fell behind that wall a bunch. Called Lester for a job, he offered me that one, and I said, umm no thanks. Maybe I'll try it with a buddy next time

Don't park so close then haha. I made that mistake the first couple of attempts.

Up the steps on the right hand side gives you a perfect vantage point down into the car park below where the van is. No climbing, falling, etc, lol. Just chuck a grenade down...

Guys... you can enter the parking (car park) by the other side ... with the Dominator of course, you can get down the car park, get to the van, do a quick handbreak 180, drop the grenade, go.

Simple.

Thanks for everyone's posts.

So the dominator is actually a bit of a tank then? Maybe I should have stayed in the car :catspider:

Lester kitted it out for the mission. It's armoured, has bullet proof tires, etc. Stay in it...even if it is a bit sh*t to drive.
