This is exactly why people post this stuff on the forums, because it should be fixed. Im actually in favor of a complete wipe once these initial errors are finally fixed, but obv these people that spent like 15 hours farming the same mission over and over are going to be pissed.

 

Also im level 50, only from joining random missions/ race / whatever and voting on whatever looks cool. It doesn't take all the long to level up, im 50 in just a week from release and I couldn't even play for the first few days. So year a wipe seems in order, because I don't think rockstar intended for people except the extreme no-lifers to hit max level within the first month or two ( I could potentially be in that no-lifer group, I play a lot).

 

But yeah, lets start everyone on an even playing field, without the ability to take advantage of something that wasn't intended is how I feel about it. Ill be max level soon enough as it is

f*ck yeah you play a lot if you hit level 50 from random games, and missed the first 3 days.

Well, I've been reading some comments, and I have a question, do they reduced the amount of money and RP in the missions? Come on ! I'd never "farmed" any mission (I was rank 19) but I liked the amount of money and RP that some low rank missions gave, now what ? It's going to take ages to buy an apartment or a car without those missions that sometimes gave you a good amount of money. Thank you farmers !

 

Anyway, this patch fixes the character loss ? I want my rank 19.

I'm pretty sure what they mean by that statement is that they've changed the notice on the online loading screen.. You don't get a series of tips on the game anymore it's just a message telling you how to NOT lose your character.. It also says "We are working on permanent fixes for these issues".. Pretty sure the only thing that's actually changed is the payouts and the quick restart.. Which is fair enough really, if you fail you can still restart.

Couldn't you all still farm missions (slower) by all 4 in the lobby spamming the phone until 1 gets the job, then repeating it like that

Nope? not using the "like and R2" method.

 

But when you go back to free roam, a lot of times I ring the dude and get the same mission, so that is a slower but still way to farm some of the better missions.

So basically.. instead of getting to do the same mission over and over because I like it, instead I have to vote and then go to list of 6 possible games I can play... which all suck because they're races and I'm in a solo session.

Yeah good job Rockstar. I'm glad you worried about this all the while my garage is f*cked because cars keep duplicating themselves. I literally have empty spaces in my garage that can't be parked in for this very reason.

How about let's worry about stability first, and then deal with whether or not people are progressing too quickly? Dipsh*ts.

That is not a bug. The bug was that everytime you died in missions/deathmatch you paid the 2k medical bills. In freeroam you are MEANT to pay the 2k and it will NEVER be "fixed".

I don't know why they aren't letting us replay a mission. If you like a mission, you should be able to replay it. It's sooooo stupid. Who cares how someone chooses to level up. Why make it harder for people to play the missions they like just because people are using it to level up faster? R* is taking away a good feature (ie replay) for a stupid reason. Now it'll take people forever to play a mission over again that they like.

Which is a shame IMO. If you're not already loaded, the 2k medical bills can bleed you dry really quickly if you're not careful. Makes it hard to just screw around and have fun in FREE MODE. The only time you can really screw around without worrying is when you're already broke lol.

far out... like a nervous mother caving in to a temper tantrum... I don't mind paying 2k. Once you have played for a few hours, you will be doing missions that get at least enough to earn and profit and still die a lot, after purchasing ammo and occasional mods and items like me. The way it is now, it intils a little bit of respect and fear into the free roam, which I feel adds to the RPG immersion factor. Yes, I know, this is gta...

Will someone inform us if they were able to recover their character after this patch? I can't play right now but I want to know. Word is, is that it fixed that somehow. What they mean by the word "fixed", I don't know.

 

I didn't get my character back after installing this patch. Maybe it's lost forever then, who knows...

At the very least this patch finally fixes the lost apartment bug.

Yeah, its funny too, first people were reaplying, now they were restarting, soon, we won't even be able to call them for missions. Either that or after we complete the mission it disappears.
