1.03 Patch (Ps3)

Is anyone else having a hard time (actually impossible) to get online?

f*ck everybody hating on the "farmers" if you were smart you would have done it. No one seems to care about how many people lost their accounts with hours and hours of work, some multiple times, farming evened the game. I personally think everyone judging and throwing hate at the "farmers" are just jealous that they didn't jump on it earlier or have any higher level friends to pull them into lobbies, because I'm 99% positive they would have been right there... So what about people who didn't lose any characters but still farmed anyway? Is it acceptable for them?

 

I farmed for the first time today and damn it was boring. I only replayed till I was at 50k just so I could get some visual mods for my car since I spent all my money on a rifle for a mission but then I stopped straight away since it's so boring. If I had known the patch was coming out, I still would have stopped at 50k. I earned my 205k house from doing whatever missions where given to me and I'm happy to have got it the right way, not from exploiting a glitch!

 

People complain that it's hard to make money without farming but did anyone actually stop to think that RockStar made it that way so that you have to actually earn your apartment then once the heists are released, you can make money easily?!?!

This was actually a good thing for the game. Not seeing that is a tantrum.

 

Knew this time was coming, makes sense. I lost a 25 char and used grind to get char back from scratch in a day, only to stop cold on my tracks realising how much fun the whole process was sucking out of the game. This was a Damocles sword that had to be removed for the good of the game.

The majority of people who complain about farming don't do it at all, although I've tried it so when I say it's boring, it's more legit since I actually have tried it. I'm happy they patched it too

Took ages to load online and then when it did, I was trapped in my garage on single player mode with my multiplayer character. Would've been interesting to see what the quick save option did with the game like that, but I think I've lost enough characters for now.

Personally, I haven't been able to play any kind of match in the slightest. And getting in to Online is a real hassle when I'm not creating a new character. Still, I've heard about them having fixed other issues in Online now, so I'll just be patient and see what the patch notes are.

With no link directing to an official source, it is a confirmed hoax right now.

Edit: I just noticed the picture came from Reddit with no source. It's fake. I doubt any character issues were solved either because if they were they would have said so but instead their only official words on the topic are "a patch notes will be out soon." Thats another way of delaying public outrage.

God...I Don't farm either but wow...R*...Loss all of my Respect. Farmers shouldn't even be a concern. R* is already planning the Economy Killer(Cash Packs) and yet there worry about Farmers, not the deleted chars, not anything else but Farmers!.

But the cash packs don't rank you up.

 

Think long-term would you really want to still be playing this game even though you're rank 200 something with 500 million in your bank? No.

 

I already don't think I'm going to be playing this in a month or two for the simple fact that I got so much money and ranked high.

 

As I said, Reset the Farming chars.

This. Lost my character, apartment and my cars. I was so pissed I just thought "f*ck it". And even now, I'm "only" rank 35. (this is low compared to what some other ppl have done). Now I have my apartment, my cars and 200k, that's enough for me atm.

Hahahahaha typical Rockstar way of missing the forest for the trees and missing the important problems. They've lost a lot of respect from me just from the past few weeks of this buggy ass release and this is the cherry on the cake, they'd rather punish people just making money for themselves than go after people griefing and actually trying to cheat the game by rewriting game files/etc, and they'd rather focus on this than fixing their broken ass game first. Oh well, I guess even the best eventually have to start on the decline.

 

I just think it's balls out hilarious how many exploits there still are, cough cough game fixing cough, but this one got patched because of some bitching whiners more concerned with the progress of others than playing their own game. Way to go fellas, you sure scored a victory

 

P.S. If you get enough people in a lobby working together theoretically you can still farm Violent Duct but not through the Restart. Just have people cycle through calls to Gerald to request jobs, you can request a new one every minute or so.

I don't understand people wanting others reset purely out of spite, it's unnecessary.

 

It was also fairly clear that 1.02 was supposed to stop the R2/RT spam but R* clearly forgot that feature was in the game hence 1.03. It's unfair to call it a glitch because that's incorrect, clearly they realised the function was being used/abused and removed it, that's fair in my eyes.

 

We all knew RT spam was going to go soon enough after 1.02 landed so i'd find it hard to imagine anyone is surprised.

 

Of course it seems they are nerfing in an attempt to make their cash packs more attractive but that is just business and whilst it makes it seem we've been screwed given the honeymoon we've had with easy high paying missions i don't believe it was ever intended for us to make cash so fast.

 

Those saying that they are more focused on grinders than fixing the lost saves is unfair too, clearly the lost save problem is far more complex than deleting some code.

 

Effectively this is their situation:

 

Rock <- rockstar -> hard place

 

Part of their business plan revolves around cash cards, this angers players but makes them money.

 

Grinding makes players happy but loses rockstar money as no one buys the cards.

 

A fine balance must be struck but as anyone knows this is not easy!

 

We've had it good by using something that was never meant to be used as we have, it's time to accept we have to play it the way they intended us to do in the first place.

 

The cash cards were in place long before the grinding came around so it's fair to say it was always meant to be how it is in 1.03, we just had it good for so long we got used to it.

Can anyone confirm for me if we can at least replay survival games? I don't think that should be considered an exploit. It's an entertaining way to make cash, and to be fair, it's not entirely a quick way. It takes time depending on the map, number of people involved, and the skill level of people involved.

Spot on. I can't get online because of the cloud being down for me, but that's not something a patch can fix. I haven't grinded myself, and I for one am glad to see R* is working on removing the easy grinding opportunities.

It's legit. I saw it on the article "GTA Online: New Title Update and More". I had to click load more comments a few times, but it was there. Although, the same exact post I saw wasn't to that user, it was to someone else.

This is why u dont post vids or info of exploits/glitches or etc. Rockstar will surely find a way to stop it. Lucky for me i kept my glitch to myself. $25k in about 30 secs.

 

Are you that dumb really? Do you think rockstar only patch stuff found on youtube?

 

You realize they can take out statistic from log files when it comes to pretty much anything, would take like 2 minutes to make an ssh script to sort the missions that given people most money and rp.

 

Doubt they'll do a reset or whipe anyone that used grinding methods, however glitchers most likely end up getting banned, already heard a few on this forum that managed to get banned for exploting glitches.
