I'm not sure exactly what the patch has done, I have noticed I just got a lot more money and RP from a Gerald mission that usual, 7k and 2000+ RP. also some vehicle performance upgrades seem to be cheaper, but I may be wrong

 

I am freaking loving the game, including the balance of things. Some things are unfair, in a way that is entertaining and consistent with the game world.

No one seems to care about how many people lost their accounts with hours and hours of work, some multiple times, farming evened the game. This is for some of the people crying about somethings getting higher priority with patches over the character deletion.

Rockstar isn't going to release a patch for something that isn't even client sided guys.

 

Character deletion is completely reliant on the servers you connect to. No character information is saved to the PS3. It is all downloaded on the fly from rockstar.

 

When your character is "Deleted" (which it isn't).... What is actually happening is the ps3 cannot connect to the server properly to retrieve the information.

From experience, I have been in this situation, the only thing needed to do is wait an hour or so until the servers have time to stabilize. Once you have done this, your character will still be there.

I don't know about your servers if you have any yourself but this sh*t takes time to mature and its quite hard to get hundreds if not thousands of servers to talk to each other in sequence and to work properly together. AKA the 'Cloud'

On a side note, i believe it is good to stop all farmers and get this game to the point it needs to be.

 

We need to make sure that some players aren't cheating. We all are competing for good spots in the leaderboard.

 

This is their first attempt at an MMORPG like game on this scale. We are going to have growing pains, if you don't like it. Don't play it, it's that simple folks.

God...I Don't farm either but wow...R*...Loss all of my Respect. Farmers shouldn't even be a concern. R* is already planning the Economy Killer(Cash Packs) and yet there worry about Farmers, not the deleted chars, not anything else but Farmers!.

But the cash packs don't rank you up.

 

Think long-term would you really want to still be playing this game even though you're rank 200 something with 500 million in your bank? No.

 

I already don't think I'm going to be playing this in a month or two for the simple fact that I got so much money and ranked high.

 

lol rank and money isnt gonna be the reason anyone stops playing the total lack of decent npc missions will so far out of maybe the 30 that ive seen 3-6 were alright to play with a group of friends the online TDM etc just dont appeal to me this is GTA not COD the races are alright but lets face it unless they add alot more content in the coming weeks this game will die off fairly quickly imo once boredom starts to set in

 

 

heists, capture the flag, content creator, and beach bum pack (all free) should be coming in a few weeks from now

 

i know this i meant in that time people will lose interest imo especially with them nerfing missions already because people are doing what you do/can on most other mmorpg games its nuts

it's not the game buddy, its your connection to the servers. The game itself is fine and has been almost from the beginingg, all the issues are server and connection issues

I think a good solution is to let ppl replay missions but not give them any rewards or money after the second try.. Then players can actually only reply if they particularly like the mission

Or give them less and less by the amount of repeats. So second time you get 75%, 50%, 25%....

Really Rockstar? All these glitches and your priorities are to make sure people don't make too much money too fast? If they're gonna turn off the replays, the least they could do is increase our pay. People farm because they want to work for more money. I don't farm using exploits, but on occasion I'll replay a good paying mission because the pay for everything else sucks.

Bullsh*t, Rockstar. Absolute Bullsh*t. I already bought the game, I want to be able to afford nice things considering I'm the best player in my circle of friends and I've been playing legitimately without exploits and gotten damn good at it. But I spend hours on end doing missions and it pays sh*t all. If your gonna nerf the farming missions rockstar, you should at least have a plan in place so legitimate players can make some money without having to spam phonecalls until we get something worthwhile. I robbed every store and make jack sh*t, and robbing stores still makes jack sh*t.

This isn't what I paid for when I bought GTAV.

what R* need to do is , scale RP and Money with rank, also try to balance the amount of rp and money you give on each mission, so people dont favorite the "one" that rewards the most $ i bet if other mission would award 25k (like the one were you steal the cargobob from ft. zankudo) then people wouldnt farm the same missions over and over, therefore not really a need for a replay button, when all missions award more or less the same RP and $ always depending on your RANK, lower ranks not so much rp/$ and as you rank up it the rewards scales, up to the level where you can do heist and make serious money. i dont know what the online design team is thinking honestly....this is not hard to put together...and to think these guys are getting paid so much, they succeeded so well on the story mode, but the online team sure f*cked it up

So what about people who didn't lose any characters but still farmed anyway? Is it acceptable for them?

 

I farmed for the first time today and damn it was boring. I only replayed till I was at 50k just so I could get some visual mods for my car since I spent all my money on a rifle for a mission but then I stopped straight away since it's so boring. If I had known the patch was coming out, I still would have stopped at 50k. I earned my 205k house from doing whatever missions where given to me and I'm happy to have got it the right way, not from exploiting a glitch!

 

People complain that it's hard to make money without farming but did anyone actually stop to think that RockStar made it that way so that you have to actually earn your apartment then once the heists are released, you can make money easily?!?!
