Do people actually drop more then $100? I thought if players have more then $5000 then anything above that amount would drop on the ground. Just trying to give my friend money and the $5k/day isn't enough lol.

Kill them if they have more than 5k they drop more depending how much they have on them

I had 45k out and when he killed me I only lost $185 lol....

Not including the $2k hospital bill you get but I don't mind that.

lol - that is lame ... make a game centered around being a criminal mastermind and make it so you cant rob people .... brilliant thinking R* ... now when do we get fluffy pandas and candy cones ?

wrong value it was $105 that only dropped. Tried at that $40k then tried to have $100k cash out on me. Still only dropped that $105. Anyone else have more then $105 drop when they die like their full cash amount they had on them with that $5k remaining?

 

IF it is true you don't lose much against players then i guess no point in using the ATM? Only negative/risk to dying is just the hospital bill.

sry dude, got no clue what you're talking about as getting to rank 50 is impossible where im at in the world. Had my first toon deleted, and have had a hard time logging on at all since launch ... And yes, i have a good internet connection ... But pls enlighten me :)

yeah the mugger npc can be hired after level 50 and sent against a target (you can also hire mercenaries too) if successful any money they are carrying is given to you... of course the mugger takes some of it for himself.

Micro-transactions,a player buying 20 bucks worth of cash and being robbed will equal that you literally took 20 from somebody so in a sense you are actually stealing from them, which is illegal... in real life. I know its a game and its not like that but you can see why rockstar limited the cash a person can actually drop when being killed/robbed. They set up this system to baby the people who will end up buying in game cash. Also probably why you can deposit money threw your phone which is just ridiculous.

If they made it so you dont know which player hired the mugger and killing the guy that stole from you is a way of getting it back then dropping more cash could work

The cash you buy with real money ends up in your bank, thus no one can steal it.

No its not ... If its only ok to rob, steal and kill npcs - why have a free roam mode at all ? you should try the single player campaign, albeit short i garantee you that no other player will try to kill you there ... Cops will though, and thugs .... maybe the mafia .... or perhaps a mean bunch of gangers ...And hey, do take care when you cross the street, you might get hit by a car ...
