I'm not calling your mother a whore, or your GF fat, so don't get all worked up about what I say, its just my opinion. I like the GTA series, and its been years since I played. Back when I was in high school it was fun sitting around with friends passing around the controller and doing missions and going on rampages. Each game progresses from the previous GTA, if it didn't GTA V would still be an over head view of the streets and would suck. I am a fan of progress and also of keeping with the oldschool traditions that make games in a series similar to each other.

One of the first things I noticed after playing a lot of fallout which is one of my favorite games is you can only play 3rd person, which I know is how the series has always been, but fallout you can change from 1st person to 3rd person which is a cool feature, it doesn't make GTA V suck, but would have been a cool feature that probably wouldn't have taken much extra coding to put into the game. Especially playing online missions in 3rd party gives campers an advantage over people who are there to play the mission and not camp behind corners. They could have done cool things with a 1st person mode, like cool gameplay actions like run and slide, etc. Giving both modes a unique feel. Some people won"t like that because it takes away from traditional GTA but thats what progress is, and I think we all like progress or else we would still be playing GTA in a 2D map.

Also why when I jump off something too high do I fall on my head? Is my head made of lead? OK I know if I jump off the 3rd story its going to hurt, maybe break/sprain my ankle, and "limp" for a few seconds until it heals, but who falls on there head? That's just stupid, no one falling is going to fall upside down on there head, there going to at least try and land on there feet.

Next, this is GTA V based in 2013, not in 2008 still. So why if they have the Ifruit phone does the GPS suck so bad. My real life GPS on my iphone is 100X better. The in game GPS is pretty much a black and white map with a blue line to follow, which is usually OK, but when you get into multiple lanes/overpasses/bridges/turnouts/side roads it gets very confusing, I know I do it a lot, I'm sure you have too, been driving trying to follow the GPS route and miss the turnout on the freeway cause there's too many black roads on the little map, so you had to stop and reverse on the highway and go back 50 feet to the turnout. Or just kept going hoping the next given route wont be too much longer. Why not a more detailed map? It is 2013 isn't it? Or better yet a "siri" like voice guiding you. It would help when being chased at 200 MPH dodging traffic and trying to follow a GPS route, I cant take my eyes off the road when swerving through cars to look at a tiny GPS map. when you have your GPS marked you could tune on your radio wheel a "siri" or "Sarah" station that tells you turns coming up, and maybe makes a few funny/provocative comments, they could have had a lot of fun with that. And for a game that has over 80,000 lines of dialog, a GPS voice would not have made a huge difference.

In my opinion the stock market sucks, maybe I just haven't figured it out, but no real life investors invest on a whim, where is more in game clues as to which way a stock price might go? Maybe get some legal work to earn money, and possibly get some inside info on the company's stocks? Or a better in game website with investing tips/info. Actually being able to go into stores and cause a disturbance, I'm pretty sure in previous games cluckin' bell and other stores could be entered, why did GTA regress in that sense?

In fact going along with my last point there, I expected to see progress in interact-able buildings. Maybe not every building as they would surely have to reduce the map size to do that, but more than the previous GTA not less. When I seen the casino I was excited, I thought for sure I would be able to lay some money down on the blackjack tables or play some slots, and hopefully even pull off a sweet oceans 11 style casino heist? But no, it just has a sign that says opening soon, so hopefully that's the case and soon there will be some downloadable content for the casino and other buildings, wouldn't it be cool to go run around a huge shopping mall looting stores and going on rampages. GTA is about committing crimes and trying to make a living as a criminal, not doing yoga, and running triathlons. They could have a lot more interactive things in the game that a criminal might be interested in doing, like betting or fighting in an underground fight club...buying Large quantities of cocaine and delivering smaller packages to your network of dealers for a nice profit while evading police and competitors, which I though was Trevors plan with meth until nothing more happened with that.... Or how about just stealing cars for a profit in non mission story mode? Its cool these characters worked to become "legitimate" but now that all the missions are done what am I supposed to do? Where is the replay value? At least give me someone to play who is still an OG. I hope they have new characters with new missions and story lines to download soon. I just want to steal cars, outrun cops, rob banks, bang hookers, and sell drugs, do the things we can't do in real life. I want to go from a zero to being the biggest kingpin in the city, and then be able to play as my lower gang members doing missions for me as well.

In the 5 years since the last GTA came out video games have improved by leaps and bounds, GTA improved a lot, but not nearly what they could have, and nowhere near what some other companies are doing. R* has the rights to GTA and that is huge, they've done a good job, but I don't think there isn't other company's who could have taken it a lot further. What could EA or Activision have done?

Online has a lot of problems too, why can't I just look the way I want? Why do I have to choose my grandparents and my parents to come up with my face? What do my folks have to do with the game? Just let me choose my appearance like most games, some games you can even put a picture of yourself in the game and it will generate a character that looks just like you. And every time I log into online I got $5000 less in the bank then last time.

I hope R* has plans to make these downloads available, but why not yet, there's lots of us who are done and had fun and are willing to spend some more money for extra content. They made a billion dollars the first 3 days, the biggest GTA fans beat it already, keep us interested now before something new comes along. Don't wait a year and think people are still going to be excited to play after there copy has been on a shelf collecting dust for a year. Think about how much money they could make selling DLC packs for $5-$20 like the casino, new missions and characters, maybe even map packs, how cool would it be to go to the airport and fly to a whole new city, or island? they could keep us playing for years if they keep releasing new things, I hope they do, and I hope they do fast, because I don't have time to get serious with more than 1 game, judging by how long this rant is it might not seem like it, but i really do have a life outside the game. But I and many people are all ready bored with this game. They could make millions a week just with DLC, why not take full advantage of that. Another cool thing would be to be able to invite someone to play with you in your story mode and all your new missions you buy, have a crew of friends working in your city.

Great game R* but keep living up to your potential, don't just sit back with your $Billion and celebrate your success, capitalize on it, and improve it.

The gps route on the radar floats inconsistently. Sometimes the line is on the road you're on, sometimes it's floating a full street-distance away. It also never shows the fastest route, but the legal/taxi route (I think). It leads to a lot of confusion & unnecessary extra driving. Combine that with the slippery/unrealistic driving and crash damage... Sooo disappointed with all of this, to the point where I'm pretty sure we're all the victims of a scam/beta test prank... or at least I'd hope so, which is pretty sad.

Every other aspect except graphics/mindless minutia and some humor/voice acting... worse than previous games on previous systems, for sure.
