Two weird GTA Online issues. Help?

Hi I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. He is having two issues and was hoping you kind folks could help.

 

1. His car is not saving online. He buys the trackers AND insurance and for some reason it never appears. Once he buys the insurance and tracker get gets the Mors insurance in his contract list, but the next session he plays his car is gone and so is the Mors insurance contract. (But so is his money... So it takes his money, but also takes his car.)

 

Any idea what's going on? Is this a known issue? Basically he can't get a car and keep it right now.

 

2. Many mission "fail to download" when he tries to connect. It's about 50/50 whether he can play a race, mission, deathmatch, etc.

 

He stays online in the free roam so it doesn't appear to be a connection issue. (Also plenty of other people are able to join in our crew, just not him. But in free roam he's completely fine.)

Game is so buggy, It's a Bug fest. I Just lost a modified car by being Idled during a mission, reconnected and it was gone and so was the Insurance phone #.

In response to #1, make sure when he performs the following steps when ending a GTA Online session:

• Hit start
• Online Tab
• Leave GTA Online

If he's dashboarding or simply hitting the power on his console, the cloud servers might not have been updated with the player actions. Also, make sure he doesn't hit the "retry" when logging in if he gets the cloud unavailable message. That launches a temp character that won't be updated on the servers. Any progress completed will be lost during that session.

 

If he's experiencing network issues, there is a chance it's his end. Troubleshooting the console connection to the router is usually a good idea, just incase.

Thanks for response. In regards to how to quit the game he already does that and indeed doesn't hit retry. (Lost a character already because of that.)

 

He also is plugged directly into his modem. (Not router.)
