why do the race checkpoint arrows point backwards?

Instead of pointing in the direction of the next checkpoint? For cars at least, I don't remember if it's like that for flying too.

 

I've only played one race because I think the driving is retarded and not at all fun, but I was just watching a stream where they were racing and it reminded me.

 

 

Every time I'd come up on/go through a checkpoint, I'd feel disoriented and take my eyes off the road, because the way the arrows are oriented is the same way they are in other games when you're driving the wrong direction or if you missed a checkpoint. It's just stupid, like not having a crouch button.

 

 

As an offline-only player, this game has very few redeeming qualities

I haven't been. I'm here posting about reasons why. Don't read it if you don't want to be annoyed by it.

Not compared to any of the car games, or just games with cars in them, that I've played in the last decade and a half. Don't you dare say anything about realism, there's nothing realistic about them aside from how they look.

The cars already slide and start flipping on their own too much as it is, the last thing I need is for them to be more slippery.
