I've read about people not being able to join at all.. But I'm just wondering if people are facing the same problem that I'm facing. I'm able to come online after a few retry's on the 'cloud is offline' message. But after that I constantly keep getting the message 'the rockstar game service is currently unavailable' when I try and join a job. Then if I try and do a job, say, 30 minutes later it all works fine for like 1 or 2 jobs. After that, game service unavailable. Anyone else facing the same thing?

360 or ps3? There are alot of times when all the servers are off because they are fixing an issue. I'm on ps3 and usually when i can't message or call my friends from the in-game phone, the servers are off. So usually the only thing that works is free roam in a solo session. Sometimes you can have a closed friend session but only Free roam works. Also if you did not know, but Rockstar announced that if it says Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable, do not push "retry" because apparently that's how characters get deleted.

A couple days ago I was in the same situation. Next evening when I got on I could join free roam and then lobbies without issue. I could join lobbies by driving to or accepting a mission through my phone but not the pause menu. I don't have a solution, mine fixed itself. But you aren't alone.

Never use the 'retry' option on the "cloud service unavailable" message, always go back to single player and try again from the menus. Press start -> Online -> Play GTA Onlnie -> Start invite only session works best for me. This launches a private session, but at least you're online.From there I use the start menu friends list to join whoevers online. Also always close GTA online from the menus. In general just use the menus as much as possible for your interaction with online.
