To the people who lost character

I know some people already quit playing already. I just wonder if people made new character or are waiting for fix. And if anyone actually got their character recovered.

I lost a level 11 with 85K in the bank (I was saving up for the 87K apartment). Yesterday I restarted and got to keep that money, so I spent it on the apartment and now I'm at level 7. I have no idea how people are getting to levels 20+, it took me 2 days to get to level 7...

Deleted update. Reinstalled it. Got my character back that I'd lost 3 days ago. It's all gravy now.

You're all retards, characters will still keep getting deleted until their first patch to PERMANENTLY FIX the problem. Until then, they'll still get deleted..

I made a new one, both times. I was only level 9 the first time and 11 the second--I figure I could easily reach that before Rockstar could even publish an announcement about character loss, let alone restore anything. I was correct.

 

It's also not about the levels and the money for me. It's about playing the game. I'm still playing the game whether I've got access to certain guns or not. Honestly, I could probably keep having fun with just a level 5 character.

I have lost mine 5 times. Now its been two days since I made a new one,so far miraculously its still there. I think you should make a new one cause by now I am sure R* have sorted it out.

I lost 2 the other day, kept re-creating.

 

Now am level 19 with an apartment and cars and no issue

I lost a good bit of money in my house and cars. Made a slot 2. Hopefully my guy returns when they patch.

What i tend to do now is go back to single player after i rank up 2 levels and save my progress then return to GTAO. And if the cloud goes down while your in an online game. Do not leave until its back up which is really bad because if i had to go work i would have to leave as the game would kick me anyway for being idle

On Xbox go to system settings > storage > hard drive > games and apps -

> go down to GTA V > then delete title update.

 

Don't delete nothing else lol.

 

When u load gta v back in to play ull get the update again. Go to single player then enter online through your character wheel.

 

I did this and my character was back minus 15k. Hope it works for ya.

I never lost a character but I picked waiting for fix, just because that is a ridiculous thing to do.

 

edit: at least if you are waiting for longer than a sleep.

Yeah I got my character recovered. I logged on PSN in the morning and saw that I lost it. Just waiting until night time the same day and somehow it was recovered. I guess if you see your character is gone.. just wait. DON'T create a new one, that's how you lose it.

I created a new one on second slot, I guess thats how I lost it

 

I saw my main character for a brief moment , no physical apperance though, just the level. When I pressed on it, the character creation popped up and it was gone

Made a new char in slot 2, leaving slot 1 blank in case

Lost character in slot 1 last week (Lvl 8). Havent touched that since.

 

Made character in slot 2 (Lvl 16?). Lost that 3 days ago, though i did press retry once when cloud was down. So i'm just not sure if that did in fact delete it.

 

Not gonna play till its sorted out. Getting beyond 2 souls any minute now anyway.
