Seems much better now for me, past two days I've had no problem connecting to the cloud servers. Also this time when I brought a apartment and some cars they all saved.

i haven't touched it since my 4th toon got deleted a few days ago... thank god im busy with exams right now, but i know they are working on fixing that issue, non the less haven't heard anything bout that issue lately though

it was up and running on ps3 saturday to monday, but now its down again - exact same issues as we had at launch ...

i agree. i started a new character last night and with the money i had in the bank and some work with some friends, i've got it to level 18 (previous 2 were 14 and 13) the $205k apartment, and a custom Corquette. Everything is saving as it should for me.

Make sure you swap to single player via character wheel or Online menu before turning off your system and you should be golden.

I think the reason servers appear to be okay now is because many people are staying off them until further notice. Thus freeing up much of the 'space.' If the poll is to be believed its affected around 75% of players. If half of those have since stopped playing, that means perhaps 37.5% of the 'space' is now vacated. I say space as I don't know the proper terms.

I'm happy to report that my character has been working properly for the past hour. Today is the first time my character has not been deleted, even when exiting out of the game completely and cutting my ps3 off.

 

My social club stats have also been updating normally for my online character. The only thing wrong is that the portrait is missing on the social club and in single player on the character wheel.

 

I've also noticed the little yellow save icon has been popping up which indicates the cloud is saving my progress.

 

Furthermore, I exited the game using the XMB just to see what happens and everything was still fine when I reloaded the game.

my character has never been deleted, but the problem is that I'm getting "The job failed to download, please try again" which f*cking sucks, since I can't play any jobs.

Might want to take into account that, the forum only accounts for a fraction of the population.
