Where Does R* Draw The Line? (Farming)

How much money is too much? How quickly is too quickly?

I never thought they would be this J and make buying money even more enticing.

They'll nerf every mission to 1k eventually just to sell cash cards I bet. Thankfully I mostly do races.

And for people saying RP holds people back, you're full of sh*t and just doing it to defend cash card buyers. You can buy pretty much all of the top cars without RP requirements, and by the time you get to assault rifles you don't really need any other weapons.

Not like it's hard to rank up in this game either. GTA IV was hard to rank up in.

Yea this game is awful

the maps too small

car handling is terrible

car damage is terrible

the servers are terrible

These exploits are terrible!

I take it those complaining about exploiting for money and rank have clearly never played borderlands and if you havent you better not, you might die.

Glitching is where they draw the line, don't exploit any glitches and you'll be fine. Anyone destroying the objective they were supposed to steal and somehow passing the mission is glitching (i.e. Rooftop Rumble glitch), anyone playing a mission properly and doing so over and over is doing nothing wrong (i.e. Mixed up with Coke).

I'm starting to think Rockstar didn't even have testers when they designed the online missions. The rewards feel so random.

9k and 1k rep for a 25-50 sec mission and there's missions out there that take ten times as long and reward 2-3k and hardly 750 rep.

If the jobs were actually balanced based on difficulty and time to complete, maybe people wouldn't feel so inclined to farm VD and other similar missions.

^ This. I don't like exploiting bugs, but if I can replay a mission and the friends I'm with want to, then sure.

I haven't had any problems in game with people who have ranked up really fast - if they want to play that way - go ahead - no difference to me.

If you guys agree, then submit a suggestion ticket to them via:

The more people who report it, the more likely they'll get on it.

Yeah it doesn't take a genius to realize that offering one mission that pays doubly better than 90% of the ones available before rank 30 is a bad idea...

Did they really not see it coming?

Well look at it this way they already started lowering the $ missions pay out appearently when you restart the game this goes into effect so to all you complainers have fun touching a tank in about 6-8 months maybe while griefers cost you 2k in hospital bills

E.g is more appropriate for this instance. Think of i.e. as in essence, as the only thing that you are describing. E.g. is for examples.

Yeah it occurred to me afterwards but I didn't feel like bothering to edit my post, it was close enough

They draw the line when there profits from micro transactions drop

I feel like some people fail to realize that this is all they care about...

Just a little edit to your post

I feel like most people fail to realise R* is a business and profit is what there meant to worry about

No profit no business no game nothing to play

I think you should just let people play the game how they want to.

The fact is, R* have left the option to replay the missions, even if it's not as easy as it first was.

If you don't want to 'farm', don't. The cars and apartments you buy will be more of an achievement for you. However, if you want to farm, go ahead.

I really don't see the problem. I'm not going to farm so I've got every single car, apartment, item of clothing etc. etc. But I had about 50k and about 6 hours of gameplay later I still only had 10k more than that. So going to 'farm' for half an hour made it a lot more fun for me, as I would get bored very quickly if all I can drive is whatever I can find on the street. I've probably made 100-150k from farming now, other than that, it's all been random missions.

I've managed to save up for the second cheapest High End apartment, and a Vacca Lambo to go with it. That cost me over 500k and although I farmed about 100k's worth, I still have a sense of accomplishment.

It's the way I've chosen to play the game, because it suits me. If you aren't happy with that, go find another server. If you're not happy with the online community, then that's a flaw, just don't play.

Either that or stop whining. It's painful.

It's funny how they allow people to replay 30 second long races infinite times, and trade wins with friends (fixing the races).

But if you want to play correctly, and repeat jobs by cooperating with friends SHAME ON YOU!

A sniper bullet will be in your head before you even see a petty assault rifle.
