Fyttirakkern
Hey I recently saw The Italian Bob starring Mark Wahlberg, Jason Statham and Charlize Theron among others, and jeez it made me think about GTA V. LA, gold, armored cars and lots of other stuff. Anyone else who has seen this movie and wanna share their thoughts?
Strengthcamp
I think The Italian Bob might have some influence, someone mentioned seeing a few mini coopers runni from police in game.

RealTuff
All I want to know is how the bus didn't fall off the cliff.
ROCKSTAR MANIC
Hell, I think ROCKSTAR'S heists are often more better than that movie.
Theodore93
Yeah. I haven't seen the remake, but the when I played that mission, seeing the convoy of cars racing through the streets after having pulled off a gold heist definitely made me think of the Italian Job. However, personally I prefer the alternative, loud and dumb method as the shootout and escape is very reminiscent of the bank robbery from Heat. And of course, the "Blitz Play" is pretty much an exact re-enactment of the opening of Heat - except without the shootout. Chukkles
That remake you saw is terrible. Watch the original.

TenEightyOne
All I want to know is how the bus didn't fall off the cliff. Because the engine was running. The diesel tanks are at the rear, eventually the bus would have transferred enough balance forward for them to get a rope on a crate. Once they'd moved one the rest would be easy. xarichiex
Then you gotta watch heat if you think italian jobs influenced it. it seems like they copied heat alot. especially lester is like a remake of kelso. ShinobiFixer
ShinobiFixer
No, if anything this is a modern day Spaghetti Western. Like the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The italian job is a forgettable movie.

Man, I would have loved it if they referenced the ending to The Good, The Bag and The Ugly. Thinking about it, I didn't even clock any references to it at all which is a bit of a shame. Song: always related.
