I don't see the point in farming.

Two nice rides, about to be three.
Have 50k in the bank.
An assualt rifle that gets the job done.

This isn't to brag, this is mainly because to aquire all of this, I've never done any of the farming. I mean, it really doesn't seem that hard to earn money. Some missions give you less, but I mean, why not have fun with friends and continue to do different ones? Maybe I just don't see the point.

Like, wouldn't you much rather have fun doing different missions, and continuing to play through different ones, and get that satisifying feeling of progress when you aquire new things? I don't know. I can't see how someone would like to continously play Violent Duct 50 times, and be proud of themselves for doing such.

I mean, to each their own. I'm not saying punish the farmers. I could give a damn less. You're still going to be behind when all you know is how to kill NPC's on the same misson multiple times but y'know.

I'm literally just asking for the point. Where's the f*cking fun in repeatedly doing the same mission, only to rush ahead and get the good stuff.. for what? You're not supposed to have the great things in a week's time. It's supposed to take build up, and hard work.

Half the people want instant satisfaction through doing the same mission, over and over again. The other half will get it from purcashing a damn cash card. Hell, I was originaly for the cash cards when I realized the game is pratically all about money in the end.

That's why half my crew is level 80+ with tanks and attack choppers while I just went from level 24 to almost 50 in the last hour and have over a million now. plus several 200k+ cars plus best apartment.

 

Also you unlock different services like airstrikes and muggers which are fun for freeroam

 

Also lots more customization for your cars/guns/character and some people like having cool stuff.

 

Also your never going to have any of these things and not have even half as much fun as us while were riding around with 4 of us in tanks and another 4 in choppers tearing up freeroam.

So while you're out doing sh*t missions for 5k and selling cars for loose change were out having fun and not worrying about having to rank up or get cash we can do whatever we want and never have to worry about ranks or cash ever again just fun no work.

Truly, farming is worse than buying a cash card, evident by the last post where the guy though his crew was magnificient.

 

The issue? With farming, you can still earn massive RP to unlock things to your advantage. When you pay for a cash card, you're just getting that. Cash. You don't have everything at the palm of your hands, because you still need to unlock it. No crazy weapons or vehicles. Just a massive apartment for the most part.

 

People who farm are the issue, because they get massive Rp and money for doing pratically nothing.

We're not doing the same "boring" mission over and over. We have a f*cking tank we do rooftop mission in under 30 seconds with a tank parked outside blasting their sh*t. We can do the "same boring mission" just a few hours which is nothing at all and be set for life. why would you want to have nothing forever when you can just spend barely any time for millions and high rank? We spend like 2 hours grinding and the rest having fun. While you spend all your hours doing lame sh*t. In other words, Work hard play hard.

And yeah, I spend my hours with my friends gradually doing missions. Still fun. Then when I gain the tanks/bigger apartment/ etc, I'll have even more fun to use those then!

i dont see the point in bitching about others farming,i/we pay 60$ for our game and we play the game to have FUN,you enjoy playing missions until you slowly get the one item u want and we enjoy grinding missions to get things quicker. In the past if i have 'farmed' things to get certain items fast but you soon find out that once you have the best stuff in a matter of a day, the game gets f*cking boring fast.

 

They will realise this in 2 months or so when having a tank and a chopper is boring af, progression is what makes this game fun.

Nothing is wrong with farming unless people are exploiting glitches to do it (and many people are, destroying the objective rather than stealing it and somehow getting "PASSED" is a glitch for sure). Farming just means doing what gives you the most money/XP the fastest, whatever the fastest way may be, and if they're not glitching they/we should be left to it without people bitching about it.

 

These glitches are rampant though and a lot of people don't seem to realize by destroying the coke in Violent Duct or the documents on Rooftop Rumble and still passing the mission, you are exploiting a glitch. I tried Rooftop Rumble a few times before I even realized we were supposed to be stealing it and this was doing it wrong (aka cheating), now I know what it is and won't be a part of any glitching, and neither should anyone else.

 

R* should really make an official statement about what's a glitch and what's not so there's no ambiguity, but in the meantime use your heads people, if you exploit glitches you may well find yourself banned, and justifiably so.

If I can repeat an activity for hours and get that extra 1% on a stat, I'll usually be the person who does it. Repeating missions though? Forget it.

 

Everyone is different friend. Farming can be the best fun ever if you are with friends you know.

 

There is no "wrong" way to play, aside from breaking the EULA. Live and let grind my friend, live and let grind.

 

..now back to diving underwater for a few seconds at a time over and over and over.

Earning isn't that scarce so the underlined part of your text is highly unlikely.

 

There are a bunch of activities that earn money, and while regular players earn in the process of having fun; R* devs will be working on those expansions to the world.

 

Farmers are more likely to ditch the game (even if only temporarily) instead of playing/waiting for those expansions.

 

In any case, I don't care how you play your game, but this ^ is the truth.

 

Maybe I don't see myself getting bored with GTA:O anytime soon because

1. I don't strive for any item. I just play the game, and if I see it and can afford it, I'll buy it
