Stand on the side of a car for and ride?

So I saw some cool videos of people playing and they were standing on the edge of a van and truck by the window. Anyone know the button prompt to do so. I though I heard them say double tap Y or triangle.

So what I saw was two guys hanging off the edge of the van while someone was actually driving. If I press climb I get on top, I don't mean that, actually holding only the window while the car is going is what I mean.

Only the cops do it from what I've seen

You can so this on police SUVs I have a Sheirfs SUV and it is capable of doing this

I think you might be able to do it if you steal one of those sheriff SUV's the NPC's use to do that. You'll need like a 4-star wanted rating for them to spawn though.

ive done it before, i just went up to the merry weather van and pressed Y. I think it has to be some sort of tactical suv/truck

Just got it. It works great on a van.

Anything you can put side steps on works.

Yea any truck with the side steps works, i was doing the tutorial a second time after my first character vanished, and after robbing store with another player i got in one of those long trucks (like the park ranger suv) and the other player jumped on the side, but got off and got inside, maybe he felt exposed on the side lol
