Do you think Rockstar will do something to players for farming 18-25k

So I don't think Rockstar will act on violent duct farmers, but do you think they will act on people farming mixed up with coke and roof top rumble?

It's a flaw in Rockstar's game and that would be considered their own fault. They're only going to cause more issues for themselves if they begin punishing everybody for legitimately replaying missions.

I think the main problem is the rank, not so much gaining money. Rank is what gives you prestige in the game, and if people are already getting 100 in the first week, which should take months, that's a problem. I feel if they had a "server malfunction" and the accounts got "whipped" by accident, I wouldn't have a problem. Everyone would start with a clean slate and everything from there on out for the most part would be legit.

In all honesty, I think I got my character deleted by R* for farming Violent Duct waaaay too much back when it was shelling out $9K per run. I'm talking $500K or more and many level-ups in multiple sessions of farming.

 

Here's what happened: I was playing Violent Duct a couple nights ago with some friends and we all restarted the mission by pressing RT (R2) but I got stuck at the sky loading screen in the beginning of the mission for 30+ minutes and had no choice but to restart GTA V from the disc. Next thing I know, I try hosting an invite only session and got the pop-up about the cloud servers being unavailable. After going back to story mode and retrying, I got in but my character was gone. Social club says I'm a level 0, but my bank and stats are still there.

 

I'm afraid I might not get my level 51 character back. Did I get reset by R* or did the server I was on just crash and take my character with it?

Ohh definitely! What's the point of cash cards if people are gonna Farm. R* should not let players repeat a mission unlimited times & if player repeats a mission they should only get money not the points. I have emailed R* these suggestions and urged them to do something about it.

 

People who Farm are utter morons, they want everything up their arse asap!

Kinda funny people are crying about the experience you get from farming. I mean, honestly, if you were in Rockstar's position, you could give a sh*t less about the experience. The only issue they'd have with this is that farming = less people buying cash cards. They could give a damn less about your e-peen level.

no bans for anyone. R* wanted to release the game before it was ready and this is what happens. I understand games never come out bug free, but with the micro transactions being their main concern they should have definitely seen this coming.

 

Its unfortunate that the game feature became an exploit once they realized what people were doing. Its actually quite unfair that they would do something like that, and shows what their true goal was after they tried to patch it out. People who have the time to grind the missions will (and should) always have the advantage over people who have lives and the need to work. You put more time into the game, so it follows that you have an advantage over others.

 

R* dropped the ball in the RP system tho. Nobody should be level 100 in the first week, no matter what.

Don't know mixing coke level, but rooftop is lv 75. Its a mindf**k, cuz when you see it, you'll sh*t bricks.

trust me, that mission is so overpowerd, you level in like one or two runs in like one or two mins. completely removes the challenge of the game. that mission is how people are leveling so fast, its why it covers most of the board's first page.

Im level 103 and Ive spent 55hours getting here... So why would I be in any trouble for playing missions for 55 hours to get to level 103...? Missions that Rockstar them selves have set up the rewards and gameplay for.. Remember to work smart not hard

A lvl 45+ Friend can invite you to those Missions.

 

One of my CrewMates invited me to "Base Invaders" the 25k Mission way before i was lvl 27.

My best recommendation is to lessen the Rewards if you do certain Missions repeatedly (within a very short amount of time), but keep the Full Reward/Payout if you do them after a certain amount of time. (let's say 10-15 mins)
