Why do you get 'bad sport' for blowing up cars?

Doesn't make sense IMO. You only have to pay a few hundred bucks if it's insured. It's more expensive to kill someone over and over and pay the hospital bills than it is to pay for the car insurance. Anyone driving around without insurance on their car is stupid.

Maybe insurance gets expensive when you have a fully modded adder, or because a car is like a baby, and we don't go around blowing up innocent babies do we? -_-

My cars cost $2000 to claim on insurance. Same price as dying.

One time the guy who blew up my car had to paid the insurance fee, it's only happened once though and I don't know what they did to cause that.

I've had this happen too. I've gotten messages my friend who was goofing off with C4 had to cough up the $400 fine.

I had people park their cars next to mine in a mission in which they hid behind and when my car blew up and took out all the rest i got the blame and numerous bad sport notifications for it and paid for everyone's vehicles.

It annoyed me when some dope was driving around the bock shooting an missing me every time, so I put some stickys on the floor when he went past boom am a bad sport

I thought it was the bad sports was disabled if the player was in the car. Lucky for me that I've only ever C4'd people in stolen cars I guess. Its usually my best defense against groups trying to run me down in their rides. I think the bad sport penalties should only be marked if you killed someone who hasn't registered any non bounty PK's.

 

PKing is a definite part of the game, so blowin up a car once shouldn't automatically net you the bad sport penalty.

Honestly the bad sport rule is complete bogus. I'll be the first to admit when it comes to GTA the best thing for me and my crew to do is roll around and kill people and steal their cars. I mean the game is called "Grand Theft Auto" the game encourages drug dealing, stealing, killing, prostitution, etc. and they're going to penalize people for killing other online users? really? If I want to do missions I'd just play story mode I thought the whole part of having an online mode is so gamers can get into one room and go at it and have fun. I mean it's just a game, if I don't want to be bothered I'd play offline in story mode and play the missions. When I play online I want to interract with other gamers and fight each other.

 

It's just ironic that a game called "Grand Theft Auto" wants their gamers to play nice and hold each other hands... "No killing everybody" lets just all get along and admire each others cars and play nice...

This needs to be suggested to Rockstar.

 

I think they could change it so that if you pay for the damages (change it so that it asks you) that you dont receive a bad sport rating.

Hopefully they will fix that your car exploding making you out to be the culprit if it takes out other player's vehicles, I use my cars as cover often and dont want to be labeled bad sport for it

well shutting players out for playing the way they want in what is supposed to be the mother of sandbox games .... thats just a major turn off - i would prefer amped up cops for sure if that was the alternative ... id rather see people toughen up a bit though and stop whining about getting killed ... I dont like 'pve servers' in any mmo game tbh, its just plain old boring that everything turns into a kindergarten filled with carebears .... But hey i grew up with Ultima online and not pokemon like the average young player nowadays ...

That's the risk in GTA, but R* tries to implement it's failed pvp trigger and called it "passive mode". Vehicles can still kill you, You can't do missions or Take on NPC's, Your personal awesome modded adder is NOT passive at all = Failed implementation of the so called "Passive Mode". Also this is GTA, Bad sport is expected and again R* uses there own Inventive name "Bad Sport" A Term that can be insulting if your using the mechanics in the game.
