then R* designed Online to be 100% completed in about 5 hours (and that is being very generous).

Hmm...so, with 500 missions to start with, you're saying that you can complete these ON AVERAGE of 36 seconds each?! You are a gaming legend. We should all bow to thee. Or you're just completely suck at math, statistics and general not being a f*cking tool.

Wow - f*cking angry much?

And if many of those 500 missions are level locked, then how the hell are any of us supposed to be able to gain enough RP to access them without repeating the f*ck out of the early available activities (iow - farming early missions)? Answer me that, f*cking tool.

Oh....so now a bunch of the missions are level locked. Oh, so, what, you agree that Online can be 100% completed in 5 hours? Why the f*ck are you arguing with me? The level unlock just makes it longer. Obviously, you don't have the bandwidth in your brain to understand where I was coming from with that post.

Here it is plain and simple: GTAO =/= 100% complete in 5 hours and anyone who says that is a f*cking tool.

3k is still not bad, especially since there's a new way of doing the mission which takes LITERALLY less than 30 seconds.

Well this sucks. Meth'd Up is still 5K and is pretty farmable if you know the correct way to do it

damn so what now? :facedesk:

looks like you might actually have to start playing the game ! OH NO sh*t !! YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME AND NOT PURELY EXPLOIT IT! you twats.

Yeah because other people having more virtual things in a virtual game than you is terrible.

You must be distraught.

I'm guessing you haven't actually been through the mission yourself working as a team to discover the most efficient way of getting the job done - it's quite rewarding on it's own - the money is just a motivator.

But if this is true, it's probably a good thing, because now people will work as a team to optimise another mission. Keeping teamwork and game interest alive.

Personally I found repeating the same basic missions for little payout to be very boring early on. Things get more intesresting around Rank 15, but early on when you're spending ages finishing jobs only to find it barely covers your medical bills from when some random shot you in free roam - that blows.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ......

Of course you can't actually complete all 500 missions in 5 hours. But my original argument was against the statement that "the game is not meant to be played by repeating missions/activities over and over" - if you are not meant to repeat missions/activities (iow - farm the same early level missions, whether you do the same one repeatedly - Violent Duct - using the replay feature or you back out to the map and call and request it), then NO ONE would be able to get past level 10 or so (because there is only a finite amount of RP to be gained without repeating any missions), and therefore no one would be able to actually access the higher level-locked missions, so then of course we would all be able to complete the unlockable content (which would be a small % of the total 500 missions, again, if repeating missions is not allowed) in about 5 hours.

My argument was mocking those who claim farming in a game like this is "not how it is meant to be played". You HAVE to repeat missions (which is all farming is) to get enough RP to even access the bulk of the game's features!

I've done around 12 missions, half a dozen races, some deathmatches and not farmed anything and I'm level 17. I don't get your point.

Ive been doing it 1multiple times after this post was made, and I still get 9k, but I haven't dashboarded, but I don't see how dashboarding can affect it since its not an update.

They can change payouts server side, as they can change damage values etc. These will be downloaded and applied to your game when you log into gta online

Yeah it is unfortunate this happened. Only a matter of time before the other missions like this one get hit as well. So congrats on the people who capitalized on this because this puts you at least 2 months of the others who will have to do it the regular way. The peopel who capitalized will now be able to kill all who didn't do the mission replays. Don't even bother trying to kill the people who took advantage of these missions. Their maxed out car plus every weapon will smoke anything you drive and kill you in an instant.

Most people 50+ could careless about $ were rushing to unlock stuff like the tanks

Have fun making 1.7mil in months just for a tank then start bitching cause cash cards make it faster

more incentive to buy cash cards :/

Yes and no. An easily repeatable mission shouldn't be a reliable money farm. A long/difficult mission should be worth a lot

Complete truth.. There's already loads of people walking around who already have nearly everything.. And GTAO has just been released a week ago.. And they call it "farming".. This is no f*cking farming, this is getting every buyable thing in just a small amount of time by doing easy sh*t..

What is the goal for heists which will be released soon? Because it's nearly impossible heists are gonna earn more money then "farming" these missions it seems like..

And yes, it's stupid R* implemented the restart button.. Or atleast they should have put a time lock on every mission.

Well damn, you must be some sort of magical RP magnet cause I just checked my stats on social club, and I am level 20, and got there mainly by completing about 60-70 missions (none "farmed" in the context people use it here - all launched one by one from text invites). Did you find some sort of DM or Race that gives you about 10k-20k RP per play, or something?

I don't understand why people put down cash cards and praise farming.

  • 10 hours = $9million (if you go sticky bomb way)
  • $9million in cash cards = $129
  • $129/10.... $12.90/hour for your time

My time is worth much more than that.

Wow! Its not an exploit. Stop calling it an exploit. Its a function! R* coded it to be able to click rt button to restart the god damn mission. Meaning they allowed us to play it over and over and over again. They cannot simply ban people for this.

A glitch or an exploit would be considered the robbing glitch when people rob a store, pause game, go to psn store area and come back to rob again... so stop attempting to report folks who chose to play a mission 50 times. Hell me and a few friends played top fun II 10 times in a row! It only gives you 1k or so for winning. But it was a fun mission so we played it lots of times.

Cash Cards don't give you RP. I also enjoy working with crew members to make the mission as efficient as possible, working together etc. You lose all of that when using a cash card.

I've got no problem with someone buying a cash card though, I mean who cares if someone has more money, but there is more to VD than just 'free money'.

I don't use a 20 second method though, that is starting to get too close to the exploit line for my tastes, we usually use guns and one smart bomb for the end van. That's fast enough, and gives everyone in the team a job.

Not related to your post, but in general:

If someone wants to do it 2000 times of the 20 second variant - that's cool.

If someone wants to buy heaps of cash cards - that's cool

If someone wants to go slow and do whatever - that's cool

If someone wants to spend most their time in free roam - that's cool

If someone wants to only play solo as much as they can - that's cool

If someone wants to work in a crew and play true multiplayer - that's cool

Different people play the game different ways, and unless it has a big negative impact on your personal experience - people need to start to mind their own business.

It's a game, there is no correct way, as long as you're having fun nothing else matters.

Nope not an exploit, but I don't think it's working out the way they thought it would.. If they implemented it wrong or they were just dumb not knowing people would abuse the fact, I don't know, but it's plain stupid.

Thank goodness. Rockstar needs to be on the ball and moderating the farmers, and ban them from GTA V with your PSN id and console.

Lol

7/10, decent troll.

I run from cops 3-4 stars all the time. Rob stores while being wanted for robbing other stores. Just a lot of car chases as I find them fun and different every time.

Why are people complaining?

$3000 are still about $500k in 1 hour. Are you really complaining that you need to play this game 1 hour to get the most expensive apartment in the whole game? Gtfo.

Oh my god no! You mean to tell me they were... *gasp* farming!? Let's cook them over a fire and chop their body up into steaks.

Farming is actually welcomed in other games. Shut the f*ck up you little crybaby.

Yay, because the best solution is to just set it to an extremely low amount! Make the progression even slower for no real reason, regardless of the grinding that's occurring!

The point here is others in that amount of tiem would have 1.5M if you got 500k now. I don't mind the farming at all because im sure a lot of peopel remember Hangsmans NOOSE in GTA4 to get to that rank 10 for the achievement. Farming isn't bad at all but the people who were able to take advantage of the 9k/run made good money.

Now does anyone else know if the Mixed up with coke AND rooptop rumble got hit as well?

Lol exactly, I mean, look at the Borderlands series for example (great game I might add).

I know this is nothing like Borderlands, I'm jus giving an example, so before you all be like 'why the f*ck you comparing it to borderlands, this isn't Borderlands' Shut up.

I personally don't really farm on this game, closest I've got to farming is doing maybe 5/6 races in a row or winning survival mode 3/4 times but then we get bored & go on freeplay or something else for a bit...
