It's called freeaim....little bitches whined and moaned about this in RDR when they were "hiding" behind something and you'd freeaim at their exposed head/foot/arm and kill them. Just get better at the game, there is nothing wrong with the gun combat.

If your taking cover behind a 3 foot wall and your 6 feet tall, unless you light flat your going to be sticking out. Choose better cover if they are still hitting you, no one said cover = invincible and it shouldn't.

Being in cover doesn't put an impenetrable bubble around you.

If any part of your body is sticking out or enemies flank you then its your problem for either using bad cover or not moving.

Are you using auto-aim and getting put in auto-aim lobbies? I've noticed some of the objects don't actually have collision meshes covering every square inch of the actual visible model, so if someone is using auto-aim they can lock onto any part of you that's not covered by the collision mesh and shoot you while you're behind something. Now if you're saying people are shooting the little bits of you sticking out, like feet, elbow, part of your head, try hiding behind things that aren't small. If that's the case I bet you don't complain when you use that against people, only when it happens to you.

This is the one solid thing I've learned from all the bitching on GTAF: GTA V/Online, somehow, is really hard but also made for filthy casuals. Oh, and something something SA/IV.

Well the cover system doesn't actually make you immune to bullets. It merely helps you become a smaller target and limit the angles that parts of you can be hit from.. If they see it, they can hit it. Ignore the user-friendliness you may have learned from GOW where all cover had invisible clean edges and bulletproof holes (if any), because it's not GoW.

It was once standard in third-person games where you could only duck and run. You manually get behind things and remained concious about whether you were exposed.. The newer "one-button" way is really just to discourage the absent-minded from running around willy-nilly on a quest for suicide. Devs like to throw as many crutches out as possible these days if it helps sales.
