Has anyone stolen a Jet?

Every time I go to the base the jet takes too long to spawn. Has anyone successfully stolen a jet from the base? It seems easier in single player. If not I would like to play with someone who has a mic to try and break in.

I flew in with a chopper and there were a couple of them around, i was able to steal one but it took damage so i only had it for a few minutes before it stalled out.

If u drive from north to south on western highway u should be able too jump in with a car or motor on the right side before u enter the tunnel, when in drive a bit to lure the tanks away then take one most of em can just take off from the place where they stand they dont need much space.

I steal them all the time. It's easier if you take a truck or suv and jump over the little side building from the front entrance. Then run to the truck lot and drove to the runaway. During the day a jet will be on the runaway and during the night it's a cargo plane.

I do all the time, it's easy. Just fly over the base and parachute into the hangar, I get it every time.

I've got about a 35-40% success rate of getting jets clean with no damage. It's pretty much my favorite thing to do in the game at this point. Usually after I swipe it and ditch the cops, I fly around the map and land at the main airport or the air strip or the freeway or dog track or wherever and wait for people to come around. I've offered my jets to others after I get bored of them, but have yet to get someone cool to take it off my hands. Most people just want to come kill me. It's more fun to get the jets than it is to have them (but that's also fun).

 

It would be cool to find some people who aren't dumb idiots or annoying children of terrible parents to go steal jets with and maybe dogfight or something or fly around in formation and do an air show. I can't park the jet and go get more though I don't think - someone has to come watch it or get their own.

Yes its easy to steal jets in multiplayer as there is always 2-3 other players trying to steal a jet so most of the time the cops are focusing on them so you can steal a jet.

Only as part of a mission. Every other time, there are none to be found.

Wow cool info. I never knew that. I was wondering why I was able to get the jet with ease first time round then when I wanted to get another there were tanks around constantly.

 

Although I find in SP if you use Franklin's special ability just before you enter the base, the soldiers and tanks don't actually notice you until the special wears off which is cool but I'm pretty sure it's a glitch.

I think the only thing that will suck is when you fail. You start again outside of the base in the middle of nowhere.

It's fun but you can't do much with it. It's too hard to kill other players because most of them are in the city and flying low enough to hit players between high buildings is a bad idea.

That why I believe that the lock on rang should be increased.
