Am i the only one, where GTA:O is laggy as hell ?

When you guys Play GTA with a friend... what happens if your friend drives the car and you are with him on the passenger seat`?

 

 

is it smooth ?

for me it lags the crap out of my ps3.

 

is that normal wtf ? unplayable in my opinion.

Being on a wireless connection could be the problem, wireless sucks for gaming, not many console players know that.

 

You wanna get yourself an ethernet cable.

 

I got my ps3 the day it came out and I've had no lag issues, I'm connected to my router through an ethernet cable.

Describe the lag. Are you flopping around in other people's cars/planes/bikes/etc.?

I have no problems on my 20mbit wireless (I think not sure whether I ever plugged it back in or not :S) connection

occasionally I see the behaviour you described but I think it's those players lagging since the other players move normally

 

kind of sucks because they can really mess up your car if you hit them (without even knowing it sometimes)

think the collision model doesn't like them teleporting to my exact location so it sends me flying

Nah. Due to your poor performance, I bet you have 200"K" speed. You're confused.

I get it sporadically but at specific times. 90% is fine but when i start a race will always get a little hiccup right at start and maybe 1-2 times during race.

Sometimes I get alot of weird server lag, but I just tend to switch servers then everything works fine again. Hopefully you can do the same.

traffic randomly appears and disappears, enemy player cars seem to teleport clear of danger, enemy players on foot will also teleport short distances, sometimes they kill you before the game shows the animation for the other player firing, enemy players go invisible. so far I haven't seen the "lag" problem happen when players weren't trying to kill you or doing a driving mission and needed a quick save. said enemy players will also not be listed under recent players met.

 

ive only had this issue with 3 people and they were all just killing everyone on the map. remember, good cheaters don't post you-tube videos of what they do. we have all seen the, "great! now that you posted it, rockstar is going to patch it." pop up after all the farming topics.

It happens to everyone, im not on wireless and i have 100mb connection and it happens, people saying it doesn't are lieing and just want to feel that they have superior connection.
