Why can I not give other people money?

I go to INVENTORY, I go to CASH, I hover over GIVE CASH. It says "You are currently unable to give cash to other players."

What gives?

Early in the game it has let me. But all of a sudden it's not letting me.

I don't have a clue but did you deposit it all? You need cash in hand to do it

Have 10,000 in cash on me. Still doesn't let me. I don't get it.

Any time I rob a store I go to inventory - cash - cash from last job - and you just select the player and toggle it up to 50 percent or whatever and confirm it.

 

Maybe they disabled it or took it out or something I haven't done it in a couple days

I was only able to do it for a day or two before it got greyed out to me also. No idea why.. I was told there's a 5k cap, but it's been a week since I could do it.

I am level 25. I had the option to do it and then I don't.

I am not a bad sport. I have been given warnings but I really doubt that has to do with it

There's a daily limit to giving cash for no reason (as in, not sharing the last activity, but just because). The limit is 5K.

 

Im not sure if its in game day, or actual 24 hour clock.

 

Also I was totally going to give you a wrong answer just because you said 'I bet you cant answer this question' and never said my answer had to be correct.

 

But I knew the answer :c

Well here's proof (not really) to why that isn't the case.

I was able to give money. I gave around 3,000 to random people. The when my friend joined I wanted to give him some. I couldn't. The next day I played the game again and was able to. I didn't give any money though. I just noticed I could give it. But now I can't.

I know the limit exists because our friend was late to the party, and we had to give him money to afford the insurance when we found him an Ocelet Jackal. And each of us was only able to give 5K. Then it told us about the limit.

No I didn't give any money away. I am not that generous !
