woodenbadger
I'm experiencing a weird sort of bug and I haven't seen anyone else discuss it. It seems like the vehicles I'm driving aren't upshifting completely, and won't drive as fast as they should be. I was out on the highway with the throttle all the way down, and I was getting passed by other vehicles. The engine didn't sound right, either, like it was right at the top of the gear range and needed to upshift but wouldn't. So I figured something was wrong with my car, so I bailed out of it and jacked another. Same thing. High pitched gear whine, still going slower than everyone else. Tried several more vehicles, all with the same issue. This continued until I quit and restarted the game. Anyone else run into this?
Pryer88
I have a ps3 and have exactly the same problem, was working fine last night but tonight it's started doing this too. Tried changing controllers, servers etc but no joy. Can't seem to find much online about it either! Fingers crossed it works next time I turn it on after a reboot! Aborted_Fetus
Had the same problem and looked up a fix. Just delete the title update in the Game Data Utility on the XMB (assuming you're on ps3, I don't know where you do that on 360) and redownload it when you boot the game back up. Do not delete your Saved Data Utility or the 8GB install. I think the title update was something like 39MB. Once you do that, it should be fine. Worked for me and others that were experiencing the issue. On an unrelated note (I hope), now my Collector's Edition content has disappeared. The special weapons, access to the blimp, and presumably the special cars as well (haven't checked that yet). Not like I paid $150 for the version with that bonus content. Thanks Rockstar. Anyone know if there's a fix for that?
