You just spent the last 4 or 5 years of your life working hard everyday on a huge project, wouldn't you talk highly of it and be really proud, maybe he got a little carried away, so what? If I had GTAV under my belt I'd talk about it like its god, like its the best thing to ever happen in this world. Remember its about budget and development time, they couldn't of added every single thing to the game and keep it in line with the theme of the game and within budget and time. Maybe if you guys had a better understanding of how things work and how much time and effort has been put into a project like this you wouldn't be complaining as much. But yes, I do think current gen hardware limited them a lot. I genuinely think rockstar wanted another city but couldn't due to hardware limitations and time limitations. Content may have been 'limitless', but performance certainly was limited. But then again, what do u expect on 8 year old hardware. Expect MUCH bugger and better things on the next gen consoles. King Kapone Posted October 8, 2013 Share Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Current gen absolutely has limitations. There is a brand new topic right now showcasing before and after screenshots. The amount of added detail, be it pedestrians, trash on the streets, or added aesthetic decoration, that has been removed is very, very significant. If there were no limitations, Rockstar wouldn't have had to remove all of the added detail for the sake of performance. If anything it's prepared me to realize Rockstar won't be pulling out all of the stops anymore. The prospect of a functional and high performance online mode has taken priority. It is just hilarious ironic however that the online mode has, thus far, been a failure where Rockstar has made such progress as a company in not failing, arguably until now.
