Can you use an image for a crew emblem instead of creating one?

I noticed how the Lost NZ has a logo which is either an image imported or they have one heck of a designer, it also includes text??

 

If this is possible can someone tell me how

 

And i would also be looking for someone to design me an emblem for free if its ok ? :S

No you can't upload one, you have to use the creator so that it can be incorporated into the game. There are some amazing emblems out there and yes alot of people have text in theirs, you have to just get creative and use shapes to create the text. I know of people putting up to 8 hours or more into creating their emblems.

Yea mine was the first one on that post and its nothing compared to other peoples and it was driving me crazy. I wish they at least had some numbers and text in a couple different fonts, it would cut down on the work lot tremendously.

Couldnt agree more, Just out of interest do people offer emblem creation services on this forum? free or at a price? and what payment method if so, like real money or gta online money

Im an APB player, so im quite lived in for those editors to create random stuff out of shapes. Didnt bother to do one yet because no one will ever see your symbol.

You can put your emblem front & back on t-shirts; and even on your vehicles!!

you should edit it your emblem and put it on a transparent background so you wont see the white box around it on your clothes. Just an opinion, if you like it that way sorry for putting my 2 cents in.

I hear you - and I've tried - but their sh*tty emblem 'publishing' doesn't seem to want to replace the solid one :cry:

I know when I did mine it took about 5 minutes to show on the page, after I would refresh it would show the old emblem, but in about 5 minutes it would show the new one. But I haven't used it since before GTA:O was released so i'm not sure now.

Join their crew and publish to that. then leave. I think it stays, not sure though...

I could do that very easily, and I must say it would look bad ass on an Imponte Ruiner! Can't believe I hadn't thought of that, LOL! I have started doing designs for other crews for in game money. It's so much work that I feel it should be benefiting my in game character somehow, LOL!

It sucks that emblem are so small on cars. I just put mine on the hood of a gauntlet, and it's freakin tiny!

yes you can upload any image theres a few steps you need to do ill volunteer to do 1 emblem only so pm me the picture and crew name.

^ Yep, you can indeed choose any image for a crew emblem.

 

There's a video in the quoted link, but the new method is easier to follow:

It works with google chrome instead of firefox (unless you have an html editing add-on) and notepad++ instead of regular notepad.

 

Many people have had problems getting their emblems to show after saving it in the emblem creator, but a solution to that is to remove all the <g and </g tags in Notepad++. If you have multiple g tags, you can use TextFX to alphabetize all the lines for easier deleting, then just copy all the <path lines, then paste it between <rect> and <svg> as shown in the video. As for the transparent background, the last step before saving in vector magic, there's a pan and erase step -- click to erase the background or any spaces in objects/letters that you want to make transparent. The whole process is not entirely easy, so you should be somewhat computer competent (computertent?) before attempting. Good luck
