Is there any way to change the appearance of your character?

Other than hair styles, clothes and makeup, I don't think so.

Other than hair, clothes and tattoos, no.

 

There's a bug sometimes though, when you log in, it's say something like "Would you like to change the appearance of your character? It will be the last time you'll be able to do so."

 

I usually get that when there's problems with the cloud but I've never done it so I can't confirm if it will save the changes.

Have heard rumors of R* adding plastic surgery at some point thru DLC, but nothing official from R* on that matter.

Typical, I made three or four that looked like me that all got lost when the game wouldn't start, and the five second random Asian looking guy with black hair that was just the default settings is the one I get stuck with.

I got that once (and posted about it, my character didn't take the mask off! ).

 

Next time I logged in I'd lost my character. Hadn't occured to me the two might be linked until I read sslickk1's post above... I hadn't lost a character up until then so kind of figured it was the law of averages.
