So I think most people who have lost their characters are starting to accept it is unlikely we will see them again. Extremely frustrating I know. I wish Rockstar would actually just grow some balls and tell us one way or the other. If they say there is no chance, I will start a new character and begin rebuilding. I dont mind starting again, as long as they give me the money ive earnt already and the TigerShark cashcard that I bought. All this silent bullsh*t is doing my head in. Just be straight with us so we can actually get on with enjoying the game. FFS.

I'd rather know the truth then to be left in the dark. I believe they're afraid of losing players if they tell everyone their characters are gone for good, because not everyone has the patience to start over after days of leveling up and unlocking items.

Perhaps they are not saying there's not a chance because they are trying to figure out if there is or not? they may have not found a solution or perhaps they are flooded with all of the requests that they barley have time to get to it? have you been on the website and seen the amount tickets made for that?

Since the rank points don't seem to disappear when the character does I'm hoping that when they look at how much RP a person has accumulated and that they only have a level 9 character to show for it that they will add the difference in RP from what the character has and what the person had from social club. For example my current character has 21,000 RP but my overall RP from 3 different characters two of which got deleted is 106,000

I'm one of those people. The best R* can do is to tell us to "keep trying". f*cking useless.

Well I'd feel better about it even if they just said that. "We are working on it round the clock, there is still a chance so please bare with us". We havent even had that in the past few days. They must have an idea by now whether they can retrieve them or not. This has been going on for ages. Not impressed.

I agree, OP. I haven't been playing the game at all since my character got deleted. I'd like to be able to get back into the game, but not until R* first confirms whether or not I'll actually either get my character back or can start a new one without worrying that he'll get deleted, too.

I think their priority should be making sure the deletion never happens.

Then, worry about how to restore the deleted character.

Your not the only one i see what you are saying but they are also not used to this kind of gaming with online people are comparing them to blizzard? blizzard has been doing this for a long time and still has problems let alone one of the best sellers just make another in the mean time, or wait if you want. i've lost a few characters apartment's you know w.e yesterday i had cash and it told me i couldn't even purchase anything because i did not have enough when i did.

Just start a new one. If Rockstar had the ability to restore characters the would have told us. It doesn't take long to look into their servers and say ok that data is here, we can restore that. You are going to be more pissed if 2 weeks and R* tells you you can't get your character back. Unless you were like level 50 or higher, you will probably be a higher level then you were before. The only issue is you might lose your character again.

Misunderstood you.. apologies. Technically, you`ll get everything back... assuming they have data. If they don`t have any money save from you, I`d put your chances at an optimistic zero .
