As the above says fighting and boxing would be awesome ! So much wasted potential :( fighting is poor online story is better then v and one thing to think

This would be a good idea, instead of boxing

, just melee weapons only

 

Simple, just convince a group of players to meet in the middle of the map and agree not to interfere with matches or use firearms.

 

What could go wrong?

Boxing wouldn't be such a bad idea and if it came with a gym that could increase stats like GTA SA then it would be perfect, I completely forgot about it. Fight club has already been suggested and is more than welcome.

I would do this in a second, but only in a controlled environment where weapons aren't allowed... which I don't think will happen.

 

Frankly, I just don't trust most other players to be straight-up. I imagine stepping into a ring with a character who is being controlled by a 14-year old and as soon as I land my third blow, he pulls out a pistol and headshots me.

This sounds like an excellent idea, if i remember correctly there was some underground fight clubs in GTA : Ballad of Gay Tony. It could be implemented where you load to a different place where you can't draw weapons and people could come observe the fights and bet on them :D That would be awesome!

As it is, it would be impossible to do something like this in free roam.

 

Wouldn't mind seeing something mission based though.

We've talked about this in our crew. Invite-only sessions so as to control the environment but then simply have hand to hand "fights". Betting on the side. Anyone know if this would increase a players skills?

lol I was just saying this to my brother yesterday, they made a melee system but didn't make any minigame or missions out of it.

I like the melee system, I think a boxing minigame or something could be a bit of fun. Are there alternate fighting styles like in San Andreas?

I'm not sure I've seen a thread go off-topic as quickly as the third sentence of the OP before.

 

This game could do with some table gambling. Poker and Blackjack for starters. Boxing could also work as a gambling venue.

 

I wouldn't worry about the lack of heisting the Union Depository though. There are other buildings out there. It doesn't need to be big to be epic. It doesn't even have to be limited to one building either. It could involve raiding any number of buildings, vehicles or general gatherings of people. Spread over any distance.

I 100% agree! I don't think I would call R* slack or cheap in missing out on this chance but -yes!- they absolutely should patch in both boxing and illegal fight-clubs. :D

I'd take Boxing over Arm Wrestling.

They have to customize the controls though and not exactly like free roam or else people will just stand there waiting to counter attack.
