Those aren't in MP so the only way to get it up is fly around.

I just delivered the Titan at sandy shores in that mission. First go I've had on it, was pleased with myself :)

 

Forget to check my flying stats before n after tho to see if it boosted my flying much.

im still doing that and hundreds of barrel rolls and inverted flight for like 5 minutes at a time but still SO slow, its my last stat to max too :(

steal the jet.

 

go to trevor's airfield and steal a helicopter. fly low to the ground and most of the time you can land right next to a fighter jet. as soon as you get in the jet try to fly straight up and you can avoid being shot down by the missiles. might take a couple of times to get it right. you still have to spend time flying but the jet is a hell of a lot more fun than the helicopter.

 

square switches between machine gun and missiles. x button fires (ps3).

I flew under bridges multiple times and it didn't pop up for me.

cba to go steal the jet but heli in airport will do, you now owe a lot of people new cars :p

Had an idea on this, if you have something to do for a little while just hop in a heli fly very high & just let it hover up there...haven't tested this but I don't see why it wouldn't work...

Just have to grind it out.There is really no shortcuts. I'm at full flying level. All I did was fly a lot during missions etc.

I got the fighter jet last night. Flew it from sundown to sunup to sundown again and my flying skill never went up any. Even got a few wanted stars and outran the helicopters.

If you go to the airport and get a slow plane that you can put the landing gear up and down on it doesn't really take that long.

Just keep taking off and landing and putting the landing gear up and down. I did this when GTAO first came out and I think it took me about an hour or so to get my flying skill maxed.

This may have changed in an update, I'm not sure. But this is how I did it.

Doesn't it work like Strength on golf?

 

ie after each air race you should get a fraction of Skill bar.. Golf gives like 1/8th of your Strength per "game", you just set it to one hole, and keep doing... might work with races, set it to 1 lap, make sure you knew where the bar was before, and check after :)

This. You'll get your highest gains flying during missions. The quickest/spammiest way to do it outside of missions is to get a plane/jet with retractable landing gear. Take off, retract landing gear, extend landing gear, land (you don't actually have to stop, or even slow down, just make sure all 3 wheels touch the ground), then take off again. Retract landing gear, extend landing gear, wash, rinse repeat. Kinda tedious, but the fastest way to bump that stat outside of tracking down missions that involve flying...

I noticed that landing planes and such seems to have increased my flying stat. I'm just about 100% with all stats, except flying which is just a hair off the 100%.

So, I just keep getting different air vehicles, flying them around, and then always landing them.

Just my 2¢. Cheers! ;)

Just land a plane over and over again, you hardly have to lift off the ground before you land. As long as you have smooth landings, youre flying skill will level pretty quickly. You can tell how "smooth" your landings are by the amount of vibration that comes through your controller.

^ this. it still works. if you have any of the luxury jets unlocked use them and the best place is at the airport. just keep going around in circles. should max you out in 1-2 hrs depending on your flying stat level
