Transparent background for Crew Emblem?

So, I finally managed to get access to my crew emblem in-game, and wanted to put it on a t-shirt. I had spent a lot of time and effort crafting an emblem that I thought would look good, and I was excited to be able to show it off on my online character. Unfortunately, when I finally got it to work properly and display the emblem, I discovered that what I assumed to be a transparent background surrounding my round emblem is actually a perfectly square white space.

I'm gonna be honest, it makes it look absolutely awful. I designed the emblem with the specific intent of making it a simple but elegant design that would blend well into the existing t-shirts in a variety of colors, and look almost like it was just another branded shirt you could buy. Now, it just looks like someone printed out a picture on a piece of white copy paper and taped it to my character's chest. I can't even choose a white t-shirt and make the background box blend with it, because the white shirts aren't the same shade of white. You can still clearly see the square outline of the box you create the emblem in.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the a transparent background for the emblem so it can have a shape other than a perfect square? Or is my only option for stylish customization to re-design my emblem with the required square shape in mind?

Yes it is rather easy. At the left you have those different used colours. Just click on the very bottom one, that field is a little bit bigger than the others and says "backgruond colour". Then instead of chosing a colour, you chose the one with the red line, which makes it transparent instead of colour.

Yes there is a way. At the bottom of the color selection in the emblem creator is the background color chooser. Choosing the white box with the red slash through it will provide a transparent background.
