Can you kill friends for bounties?

Can anyone actually confirm whether this works or not? I'm just really curious and haven't found any results online. It seems like that would be a very convenient way to get bounties off of you without having to spend 45 minutes in your garage/apartment waiting it out. I could even see it being an exploit for easy money, since it seems that NPCs can put bounties on you. You could go around jacking expensive cars, get a bounty on you, then one of your friends could take the bounty for easy money.
