Are CREWS cheating?

Hello forums, if you press start and go to online/crews/leaderboards it seems that some crews are cheating rank, some crews have over 100 million RP and all the way up to 24billion RP, i just wanted to ask you all if this seems possible? and if so how?

Some crews have hundreds of members so if they all rank up high enough the crews rank would hit those numbers.

No you rank up quicker in a crew and a lot of crews are huge.

i am the leader of the LXG CREW, we have near a full roster, and i know the other legit crews from Max Payne 3 who are full aswell and our crews are around 12-13 million RP, also the Payne Killers crew which is a public crew which has unlimited members, they currently have 200,000 thousand members only have 60 million RP, far away from 24billion or even 100 million RP, it just doesnt add up

It depends on play. I mean, chances are, those crews with all the RP, are probably just a large group of people who have only been playing Online and just farming the profitable missions.

Some of the numbers you are seeing aren't accurate, also. My overall RP and time played were doubled on Social Club even though my character is gone.

ok, so it may not be cheating but inaccurate, that would explain why the leaderboards for overall RP are not up on Social Club, thanks

Not necessarly. The thing you have to realize, consider I made about 1.1K RP for a 3 minute mission (Violent Duct), and say 1000 members in my crew are all racing to get what they want by doing that aswell.

 

1,100 * 10,00 = 1,100,000

 

1.1M RP, for one mission run if 1000 crew members do it. Violent Duct takes 3 minutes. If all they did, and I suspect quite alot of them did, and considering the game has been out since last Tuesday and some have been able to play, and it has been mostly playable for the majority of it's current uptime, it's not as far fetched as you think. The main thing to remember is, 1M RP for a singular person is ridiculous, but miniscule and petty-change RP for a decent sized crew. And I've seen crews with 15K members.
