Earn some RP while waiting to sell those wheels!

Hey all, most people may already be aware of this, but I found a way to earn some RP and a little (very little) bit of cash while waiting to sell your next car to LS Customs.

 

I stole a car and went to LS Customs and pulled in, wanting to sell it. Well I got the "we don't need any vehicles right now" message - I was about 10 minutes too early.

 

I had the SUV worth 9k so I didn't want to just say screw it and go do anything else, and I also didn't want to just sit around waiting, so I walked out to the street and shot a couple civilians and took their cash, which was only like 30 bucks. I said a very little amount of cash, remember?

 

Anyway, this gives you 1 or 2 wanted stars depending on how many people you killed. Before the cops show up, just run back to your vehicle, parked right near the garage door to LS Customs, hop in and pull inside. You will instantly get 100 or 200 RP depending on number of stars and the cops are gone when you go back outside.

 

You could farm this for a decent amount of RP since it is very quick to do. Walk out, shoot 2 guys, walk back, go into LS Customs, go back out, repeat. But, there are more efficient ways to earn both RP and cash. However, since you need to pull in the garage to see if the timer has expired and you can sell the car anyway, before you pull in you might as well go kill a couple people and then pull inside. The game gives you credit for escaping the cops and you don't even have to wait out the end of the chase - it's instant.

 

I'm always long winded so I apologize for the length of this but I just thought I would share in case anyone could use a little time waster activity like this for whatever reason. It's borderline whether or not it's an exploit in my opinion, but it's certainly no worse than farming the same missions over and over.

You can "farm" star xp riding a train too. Jump in the low car there and throw nades or shoot whatever to get stars, and its simple to lose 2 (3 is chopper) stars over and over, though mega-slow going lol.

If I remember correctly in earlier GTA's you had to get a respray to lose the wanted levels. Now you only have to drive in which is cool. It's good as part of your robbery escape plan to make it quicker.

Probably. I don't feel "clean" doing it lol but I don't feel bad either since I only do it while waiting until I can sell a vehicle. To do this for hours on end would make me want to blow my head off I think.

The real goal, is to find a way to get more stars while staying close enough to the LSC to get in without being seen. If you could snipe a cop or two say, real quick, or RPG a crowd. You know, old fashioned family fun.
