Same, repeating car models on the road

I want to start off by saying I love gta online, but this is just something I've been noticing a while and I want to see if you guys notice this too. It sometimes get frustrating when I want to get a car for Simeon.

 

I wasn't gonna bring this up earlier, but now I wanna tell u guys what I've noticed about the same car models showing up. Like only a few of a certain type, like today I've really just payed attention and noticed it. I've noticed this recently, but this is the first time this happened

 

So earlier today I played gta online for about 30 minutes before work. I got a text from Simeon listing some cars he wants. So I try to find one of the cars, and there wasn't one on the map. So I drive out of my garage, and I see a couple of fathom FQ2s, one behind the other. I then see, an asterope sedan. Not the right cars. So I drive a little further, and I see a banshee parked, and about 3 asteropes nearby, then a couple fq2s, still not it. So after driving for a couple minutes from Rockford hills to the beach, I see only about 6 types of cars, the fq2, asterope, a small coupe car, schyster, a few banshees, and some fugitives, and maybe a few Zion's, I forget. The whole 30 minutes I played the game, all I saw were those cars, some in groups of 4 or more. I finally got a green marker for one of the. Are I needed, but it was the only one around.

 

So I got home from work about an hour ago, and it's been 5 hours since I played gta. So I went online, and the first cars I see, are again, the fq2s and asteropes. And I'm pretty sure I saw a banshee parked near the place I saw it first. I even drove across the city again. As I'm typing this, all of been seeing are mostly all the cars I saw earlier, and a few different ones. All the cars driving by me now are mostly asteropes, fq2s, and the coupes.

 

Have you guys been noticing this on gta online at all? I haven't really noticed it in single player much, but if did see it sometimes, but I'm not sure if this is because it's online that it seems to happen more.

 

Again, I really like gta online, I'm not hating on it.

Hey man, you aren't crazy. I've been seeing some crazy dejavu with the cars as well. You can actually use it to your advantage sometimes. If you see a nice car go by and you miss it, just stop the next car and the next 3 cars or so that stop will just continue to spawn in that order but in different colours, including the car you missed.

 

It's nice when you have a nice muscle or super driving by, annoying when you're looking for something quick and all you can find is the sedans =/

Yea, I have noticed it too and I'm guessing it is for the same reasons there aren't many cars on the roads anyway. It doesn't bother me that much but it can get annoying when you are looking for a certain car. I've noticed changing servers brings up different groupings of cars.

I haven't had this glitch yet, luckily... Try driving out to the country and back, maybe it'll reset your region info.

Im rank 31. Maybe you have to buy more expensive cars. I bought the voltic for 150k

 

We'll i always end up seeing some nice cars whenever I go online, it must be what the other ppl said

I think GTA Online has less memory to work with than story mode (because of the extra players) so I think they brought back the repeating car.

 

The worst I have seen is a freeway that was 100% Futos.

 

Other funny place to see this is the military base. If you hover a chopper near the tunnel entrances all the vehicles on the motorway become military trucks.

 

Does make it hard to find a particular car as you have to keep moving for it to change the type of car it is spawning.

Also I think if you are low level then only crappy cars will spawn most of the time. I think as you level up it starts to spawn better cars.

 

This is just like what it does with chopper and plane spawns as you level up.

 

EDIT: Also depends on what level the players near you are too. If you are on a server with lots of high levelers and hang around them better stuff spawns.

 

That was how I got the buzzard attack chopper at level 20.

Certain cars spawn at certain times for a certain amount of time. I've been noticing it for about 3 days now. Its not uncommon

 

I've noticed this as well on my online game. Ubermacht Oracle's are often in the morning and Gallivanter Ballers and other big SUV's at night. Late-afternoon / early-evening is muscle, and classics. Mid-afternoon smaller cars and slower sedans.

It takes a lot of ram to load different car models. Also it gets really bad in the single player when you beat the game.

How does it get worse when u beat the game, and why.

 

 

The world changes a lot as you progress so I'm guessing more ram is being used to remember that stuff which shrinks the memory pool for traffic.
